thank you. yes, this iteration of witch elves blends in pretty well, much better than the '90's one's i've also used.
hobby time has been a bit restrictive over the past three weeks, but what time i have had i've used to make a treeman to add to the ranks of the bright curse. he's quite top heavy so i may make him a larger sabot base to sit in, possibly magnetised
this face was intentional.
this one i discovered during the painting stage, and then decided to add the teeth to make more of a feature of it. it also lent him his name (two-faces, in cornish), which i assume is what the elves / sidhe call him, as his entish name is no doubt long and unpronounceable even for elves.
the body is a twisted wire armature coated with pva soaked kitchen roll, with sand for moss. the canopy is wire wool sprayed black and then covered in home made flock (in three shades of green) attached using spray adhesive; once done i rolled this in watered down pva, and dried it in the oven at the lowest setting, to try and keep it all in place, before attaching to the branches. the toadstools and bracket fungi are milliput and the ball fungi fishing weights.
i'm contemplating some ritual humiliation by entering him in the golden gobbo.
