Cannon crew officially begun!
Using shades of olive instead of bright colors as I normally would. As far as the 'arrow' logo goes, can i t just be discreet cos I dont have too many big areas to make it standy-outy?

Don't make it a hassle, the colours can be enough, may I add a suggestion anyway... why not carve (or paint) the rune on cannonballs instead ? The idea of the gunners engraving their rune on their foes' faces, armours and stone walls is just... too pleasant

Actually that is a pretty good guess Crooksie if you assume that the flaming pterodactyls and space chariot are metaphors used by primitive people to describe the awesomeness of "The Sacred Armour of the Moon". Clearly the Captain is wise in the lore of Warhammer and has great insight into the machinations of my head!

Should have some pictures soon, I just need to add the particle accelerators, vectored thrust engines and the fusion reactor !

Right I've finally decided what mini to add to the warband. Actually I already had two others lined up but each time I had them cleaned and ready to go I traded them away. So I present to you a gnome! Now the cynical among you might think that I am cheating and killing two birds with one stone here - and you'd be right as this guy will also be making an appearance over at the Gnomevember challenge.

He is a cute gnome John. Is that a cigar he is smoking or is it a pipe? I nearly was going to add a big curved pipe to my Slann!

Nearly finished the "Sacred Armour of the Moon" Slann build now, just a couple of finishing touches to go before he is ready for his close up before painting, I may get some pics up here tonight. I freely admit that I have gotten extremely carried away with this build, but then that is just the way with the hobby muse, you just have to go with it, wheeeeee!

Its a cigar Sean, although a nice clay pipe would be better I think. Anyway I actually put some paint on him so I guess he will actually get painted now!

Cigar eh? He must be based out of Lustria . I think I will have to make a lot more cigar chomping Slanns in the future.

Even better news that the group will have a cannon. By the look of the remains of that chapel of law, the forces of chaos seem to be enjoying considerable close air support or have a couple of howitzers so we'll need something to even the score

...

cannon are ok...but the holy relics of the ancient Slann civilisation bestowed upon their greatest champions of Law are better:

Lotus Lord Moixa'remoh wearing the Armour of the Moon...

And yes, they are indeed inanimate carbon rods !

He's fantastic Sean...lovely smooth sculpting and you haven't shied away from the flat straight surfaces either.

Will he remain sleek, or do you plan to add any decorative feathers and glyphs (not that he needs them)?

That Slann is flippin' great and the froggy sized space boots do make me chuckle. Your sculpting of those flat areas is fantastic - I never quite managed to move on from fur and chain mail with my own sculpting.

I demand paint - immediately! Do you have a plan for the scheme? Armour of the moon, to me, implies all sorts of bizarre markings over a a dark blue scheme or maybe you're going for an animal/bird skin effect?
