The beast is a Coatl, to join my rapidly growing brood, I'm very happy with how it turned out, particularly the black on the wings

(I'm actually planning to paint one on the lid of my harpsichord. It needs to be refinished, and I think a local monster, fit for a fantasy army, would be absolutely perfect. I think I'll probably go closer to Jolliet's original drawing, which is indeed much more like the "Underwater Panther" than the modern recreation on the bluff. But . . . the painting on the bluff would work fire too.)

Anyway, yes, the wings came out quite well. Great monster!
