Crumbs. Makes me wonder what sorts of strangeness might be in store for the future. I am gonna stop storing things in the attic (it requires Barbary Ape maneuvres to access it).

Thanks for all the kind words of sympathy Gents and the offers of help to bring this to BOYL this year, but I'd rather wait a year and bring this to a conclusion when I'm able to appreciate both the game and the spectacle.

You'll get there. I have reenactment friends who left the 'hobby' for years as they couldn't do drill (kneeling as an issue) but now they are back! My best mate had a new knee, and it's like he's back to how he was 10 years ago! Things that happen due to getting older apparently can get better too! Huzzah!

Good new, I have a date for my surgery - late August. Which in turn means I'm going to be laid-up for most of September, so all being well I should be able to accommodate a game towards the end of my recuperation period, no doubt I'll discuss with those of you who've already expressed an interest at BOYL, anybody else make yourselves known?

Good that its not too far away and yet you can do some stuff you want ^_^ I don't go to BOYL.. too far, too big well.. I know some people in the area but.. yeah.. afraid not.. hope you have fun though ^_^
