That group photo ( first with flock ) looks nothing short of impressive. Minis, colours and as a whole, fantastic.

Thank you very much for your kind comments

That dragonbird thing looks fabulous! I'm a sucker for a good monster. (Even if I've no real clue what it is.)

The beast is a Coatl, to join my rapidly growing brood, I'm very happy with how it turned out, particularly the black on the wings

You're making me think I need to find a way to make the local legendary beast: The Piasa Bird.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piasa

(I'm actually planning to paint one on the lid of my harpsichord. It needs to be refinished, and I think a local monster, fit for a fantasy army, would be absolutely perfect. I think I'll probably go closer to Jolliet's original drawing, which is indeed much more like the "Underwater Panther" than the modern recreation on the bluff. But . . . the painting on the bluff would work fire too.) :)

Anyway, yes, the wings came out quite well. Great monster!

Interesting stuff :o , always surprises me what local legends and tales are tied to certain location and how many folks don't know what's on their own doorstep ;) . Go for it :)

Next batch of beastmen cross over the painting table, with their command group to follow.

I'm currently perpping this little piece for OWAC VI to paint sometime in the New Year. All those spikes are fiddly to fit, too blood small for my sausage fingers
