I'm back after a long time, due to lack of motivation, but mainly because I was painting a large amount of minis for Infinity.
But I've begun to work again on my wood elves, as I must prepare my army for an incoming campaign starting in septembre with my gaming group.
I've started to paint my eternal guard unit.
For the minis, I've decided to use the old WE spearmen with metal shields from the dark age range of Gripping Beast.
All the shields will be hand painted, and I want to keep the celtic / dark age look of the army, as it fits very well with my own vision of the WE (not as civilized as DE or HE, but not the savages ones sculpted by GW).
Expect more to come, as the spearmen unit will be 30 elves strong, and I have more to paint in the coming days (warhawks, waywatchers, more bowmen, riders,...)
We haven't enough time to do the basing, due to some cooking we have to make (a cake with almonds, nuts and cranberries...).Dooz":3ji3tfhq said:That skaven is pretty brilliant for a 6 yo I'd say, just need some basing and that's it. Now your goal must be to keep him motivated enough to paint an army of those.
Agree wih you.Protist":3ji3tfhq said:But... that wizard's horse is absolutely enormous
I have a problem at the mo with a bunch of 80s citadel horses I have being too small for more recent, early 90s riders, its the one place where scale creep becomes really obvious
