What about a nice group project? The knight project

I always suspected those Bretonnians loved huge cocks. That knight looks especially satisfied with his ride.

Gaj, you naughty boy !

I tried my best to keep this poetic ...
Don't throw oil on such a fire...

I know. It was a cheap shot. I'm sure everyone else will be much more responsible and mature

Oh yeah sure, nothing to fear from...

ok this thread is derailing in 5, 4, 3, ...

PS : Mr Gaj, didn't I read somewhere you would be participating in this lil' event of ours with a personnal contribution? I recall some New forest wonder or something of the sort...

ACtually, someone else nabbed the New Forest halfing and pony combination, so I guess that leaves me with witches. Or possibly a poacher in a series 3 land rover?

I'd better get on with that :)

Well, I've ordered that large bird and added "swan beaks" to my regular searches :?

I've also found that my town's name, "Ampthill", comes from an older name "Ammet-hill" meaning "ant hill". So I should have gone with ants. Perhaps I can give the rider an insectoid head...

Haha! That was me....
And the plan is coming together, pics soon!

Ok so here is the latest project on the rooster knight.

I did some sculpting to add some starps and a saddle and I mounted the knight, adding him some magnets to choose between a lance, a sword and an arm carrying an eagle. I also sculpted some mushrooms with the green stuff left.

OK, broke out the paint and started on the steed for the Bee Knight with a classic Tzeentchian colour scheme (including titillating pink shaded as per Andy Craig's recommendations!):

More thoughts on the blog. Just need to decide on some other colours now!

Very great !, You're talking the lead man, but you know this is just temporary right?
Very good colours, full of contrast and vibrant like in old days.
My little tribute to oldtsyle will be in the form of green mushrooms with yellow dots. ;)

Sorry for the double post but some better photos with the lance added and some gear added too (a bag full of corn seeds for the rooster ;))

wow qui est tout à fait le coq, excuse qui sonne assez désagréable. Je jette mon chapeau dans l'anneau pour ce projet de groupe. Pour le Canada!

Excellent work on your chicken knight, mister !
I hope to see it finished soon, and I must move my ass to make a knight for myself !

@24_cigarettes : Yeah, tell us about what you plan on this, Canada has a lot to offer for such a project !

@Tancrede : I've taken the "Poulet" coming from Bresse but you coming from Bordeaux, I guess it leaves little mistery to what could be your influence ;), maybe a bretonnian riding a barrel of wine?

I think of a little bottle, but I haven't find it yet...
Otherwise, I'll use a barrel of wine, of course !

That big rooster is looking great Asslessman- I love all the gear and extra's he's carring around with him!

A tiny amount of progress on my Bee Knight:

I have found my pig,

I went home to see my folks and found him in a box of my old toys ... so this is not just any pig .... this is my pig.

This is how he comes painted ... so I will need to repaint him as a Gloucester old spot.
And he may be a bit big for a halfling knight ... so I may need to replace him with a human. Some sort of Knight from a rural province. They have an entry in 3rd edition but I can't remember what they are called off the top of my head.

@ Axiom : said on the blog but the tzeentch knight is gorgeous and I kove how the mount looks like a lord of change turned into a spawn

@ Harry : this is one good looking pig, if a halfling knight is not suited for it, maybe a platform with a whole squad of them on top can do the trick (dreaming of a pig Howdah...) !

Things are heading the right way here, thanks gents.
