Mounted Knights, Trebuchet, and base coated Archers, Retainers and Foot Knights based on the old studio army.

Well that's my Bret's with paint on them so far, still got a ton of stuff left to start not including a small army's worth of knights and peasants in Cash Converters on buyback (pawn shop for the non English).

I'm also getting the Rabbits beating the crap out of Monks from Skullncrown, Bretonnia needs more psychotic Bunnies. :3

Vallejo brown mud with autumn static grass (matches my grass mats on my board). Gonna do the bases all on the same day, muds drying out so don't wanna keep exposing it to air, really should buy some more anyway as I have quart of the tub left.

Just bought this months Miniature Wargames magazine just because the free sprue had a lute on it. 😆
All my musicians have trumpets, I want an annoying Bard to irritate King Bruno with a bad rendition of Stings Fields of Gold.

It should be, best mushy song ever written. Film wasn't bad either considering it's age, still holds up well. Costner's no Michael Praed but he did an ok job.

Think I might watch it later when I paint, it has been a while, might even push the boat out and get a kebab, can't beat a classic movie with some questionable meat of unknown origin drowning in garlic mayo and chilli sauce. I can feel the heartburn already.

where do you rank Brian Bedford?
Costner is pretty low on my scale. mostly cause I don't think I've seen him in anything I think is of any real interest to me. The Postman is meant to be a fairly okay version of the book, but I don't have much interest in that.

Yea Costner's not great in general, Postman was ok, he was alright in Water world though, but that might be due to me having a post apocalypse obsession and not due to him acting well.

Didn't Brian voice Fox Robin? Love that film, second favourite Disney film after Black Cauldron.

I hope they never do a live action Black Cauldron though, I wouldn't trust Disney to arrange a piss up in a brewery these days.

Cary Elwes made a good Robin. 😆
Little John on his back in the 'river' is literally me near any body of water deeper than 4 foot. Can't swim too good (and not been swimming since 96) and 💩 scared of drowning, and burning to death, falling from a great height, being sucked out of an airlock into the void, and choking on shredded wheat.

Yep.
As Disney want to lose all there money and any rep they got left, they are doing so-called 'live action' remakes of everything.. which basically all flop (they are working on the Aristocats right now.. claiming 'live-action'). Problem with the post-walt era, just after he died, they went really cheap. Robin Hood re-uses character designs and animation (the one dance scene is famous for being a trace of Aristocats), ones like 101 Dalmations and Black Cauldron were also at this period. Every noticed the 'sketchy' look of 101? cause they decided to save money and instead of inkers to copy and ink the line art onto cels, they just photocopied line art onto the cels to save money (and staff). Not saying it was all a bad effect as it did kinda help the company.. now a days, they are spending way more money to make 'live-action' which flops and brings in less then if they just re-issued the old films into the cinema again (though lets not talk about the awful 'digital restoring' they did with Peter Pan where they basically blurred everything and removed details.. sigh)

they are going to replace Scatman Crothers.. That is a sin in my book any time. Hell, there is a reason why the character he plays is even named 'Scat cat'. Of course they have to greatly changed O'Malley.. can't have a male who has any good features when there is a female lead around ¬_¬ (I like female characters in stuff. Look at people, you have a balance.. I think even they admit they have alot of people with a only males have flaws view point.. like going back in time to the old 50s-60s exploitation films..

Well maybe they changed it as scat also means poop and a scat man is someone who eats poop.
Seems a fair change, I would suspect he would be seen in a different light, as would someone called John Felcher etc.
