possible. It's just odd that basically they made the two main elements of the humans being basically Germanic and French where more local stuff (though we were ruled by the Normans for along time, and were made up of alot of German tribes), much less. Its like how.. erm... I might have been you, commenting on how old English place names were removed more in favour of pseudo Germanic. Using French Historical, they could have focused the Brets more on post-1066 England, with the top ranking Normans, the lesser nobles were mostly from old Anglo-saxon stock, while the peasants were just thrown around like peasants normally are, without really knowing much about their rulers.Is that not because Normandy is next to Brittany and Breton is the language of those from Brittany?
I would LOVE to do a small army (probably not more then a unit and some special characters) based on the local tribe to me, the Hætingas, where were a Anglo-saxon tribe which may have been around from about 470 AD to 1011 ad and is where the name 'Hastings' comes from.. But no-one around here cares so soo little has been looked into them that all we really know is the name means Settlement of Hæasta's people' making that maybe the original ruler was called Hæasta. but that's about it.. there is even debate if they are more French, Frankish, connected to Vikings or came from up north ¬_¬ Pretty much nothing solid is known...
mm.. that was a bit too much of a side-note.. oh well. Just kinda how they did a tiny bit inspired by Anglo-Saxon, but didn't really wanna go with it, probably cause they preferred a much more modern fantasy setting (like how what I know of the WFRP world appears to be much more modern then the earlier WFB where you still had more Barbarians as a major factor, Norse and for some reason.. Old world "Ninja" ¬_¬;
