The grand army of King Bruno the Questionable (Bretonnia)

Ordered a sprue of the Wargames Atlantic mounted knights to see what they're like (gonna be hard to beat Victrix NGL) got some two handed weapons somewhere from the foot knights so I might use those and build some Questing Knights, also ordered some of those fancy javis scenery grass mat thingys to finish my board. Thought I'd go for autumn grass, I prefer the darker shades over the brighter spring and summer ones.

Now I'm thinking about autumn coloured Wood Elves. Very tempting.

Oh before I forget, for greenskins,Orc boys are based on 25s and Gobbos on 20s?

I dislike the term "dead game". People say if a game doesn't have anything new coming out, it's dead.. don't seam to understand what dead means.. it's kinda an insult I find. And I could do a quote from a couple of books near me about not being dead but.. kinda old hat.

though this might just be me. So probably worth ignoring ^_^

Old?

Anyway, don’t worry about base sizes. It does give them a little more space and less tangling into each other, but some of the smaller species look a little oddly ā€œlostā€ on bigger bases.

I reckon a game is alive and well if there's a community around it. Just because it's not being officially expanded and you can't buy new ones doesn't mean it's any less usable. I never understood the 'killing off a game' mentality, once it exists it exists.

Could call em Schrodingers editions? Or Undead editions?

I did initially think supported, but there are plenty of games that are new which do not have any publisher support, so maybe that is not the best, as both new and old games can be publisher supported, then there is community support.

So, errr Current?

Though to be fair I am not overly fussed.

What would you guys say is essential, hills or a river? I wanna get messy and make something but not sure what. Could make a lake (or small pond) because Bretonnians like lakes ..

Ketchup.
When Tomatoes are turned into Ketchup, while they stop growing, you would hardly say Ketchup is made of dead matter. So the Ketchup isn't dead. Also, I think I would enjoy referring to things as being Ketchup. I'm personally gonna use Ketchup ^_^
Well, not really important, but this itches me :)

I was with you so far.

But of course, Ketchup is made of dead matter. The tomatoes do not live anymore, they are not in one piece even. And they have been cooked. They are dead :)

But regardless of analogy, I agree with the point you are trying to make, just not with the example ;)

Hills before rivers. Trees before them. Hedges before trees.
Got hedges and trees, could use some more trees but I have a weird obsession with filling the board with them for some reason so I think I'll have enough soon. Might be because I'm a sweaty lil robin hood fanboy and my hooded men in tights need something to bravely hide behind.
