Thanks. Paint might be a little way off yet, but heading towards it at least!
So the first pass of mold line removal is done now for everything and I can properly see what I have.
Pretty decent haul I think. There turned out to be three elves in the box and I've got one goblin archer with a dark elf head glued on - so I don't suspect he'll get used! Still something like 90 minis in total.
I think I might clean up the banner chap to round out the numbers. I now need to print a few more weapons to fill out the missing spots and it's out with the green stuff to tidy up around the necks. I'm wondering about pomels for the goblin hand weapon conversions - they would look better, but it would be a bit of a pain. Might see what a ball of green stuff there looks like rather than trying to glue something more sculpted in place.
Most of the shields are too firmly stuck on to remove, but I wasn't going to spend ages painting these so restricted access isn't the end of the world. In fact I've been wondering about trying out the
slapchop method with some of the Vallejo orc flesh xpress paint. I'm going to worry about missing shields once they are painted. I have some that popped off and a few I printed so can add those if I want to.
Right time to find a box for them and a few evenings of green stuff await!
