Quite a change in colours but the models have certainly gained from the make-over !
These are definitely some of my favourite of yours. The patriarch is really good and your style reallly works with Bob Olley's models and their textures and wrinkles everywhere.
Looking for hybrids now
I think its the first Bob Olley mini i've painted and I have to say it was a delight. I never was a big fan of his but there are so many details that once I started painting it became really fun.
Thanks for all the comments! They are going to be a Slaanesh cult, hence the sixes painted on their unit discs. One of the has a pink Slaanesh symbol painted on his shoulder pads.
Real quick update. I finished a couple Breakout Con and Sarge Rockhard minis. I didn't spend too much time on these guys, but i'm generally happy with them. I'm not a huge fan of the Breakout Con minis, but they will help flesh out my pirates/mercenaries.
I probably need to add some kind of shoulder insignia.
Sarge Rockhard was a fun mini to paint, it was one of my favorite from the pirates/mercenaries.
Great collection, really like your painting style with the richly saturated colours. I have some RT Imperials and Genestealers to make a start on, will come back for inspiration to this thread for sure!
Here are some of the latest additions to my collection. I tried to play with some glowing effect on the Inquisitor to make him look more sinister. I think it works alright.
Also got my Ambull painted up. I stuck with a simple paint scheme for the ambull and tried to make the jaws and claws look as if he sits around all day chewing rocks.
Sorry to say that the inquisitor does not look alright to me. It looks SPLENDID! I have this one but in a very rough cast and I was wondering what to do with him. A sinister colourscheme was just the answer. I won't copy but will definitely inspire from yours... (yes, there IS a nuance)
