Piscean Warrior WIP....Thoughts?

Fantastic news, can't wait for mine. These will fit in nicely with my Piratical Rogue trader entourage.

Afraid I'm pretty well a 40k man only as well hence no order from me for the Fimir, lovely model though it is.

Why hasn't anyone suggested some SCI-FI FIMIR????
And seriously! I would buy it!!!

Buy a Fantasy one and convert? :) Gotta be easy enough to kit out a Fimm with guns 'n' pipes 'n' stuff. Not that you'd want to do it to an original of course, just one of a certain ebay seller's recasts or one of our own current not-Fimir models.

I dont think that the increased sales of the MInotaur and Piscean necessarily reflect anything about the quality of the sculpting or anything. All of your sculpts are high quality, so it just a matter of what there is a demand for I suppose.

Im looking forward to getting my minotaur and piscean (I dont really get involved in the fantasy side of things).

Hand up!

Seriusly guys , if people want a space fimir I can convert the actual lord to a more "space" look without loosing all its ornaments and armour.
But that must be an almost "made to order" work , but can be done ;)

Some proper sci fi frogs with some lovely ornate armour and astounding tech. Would love to see some enhancements too, powered armour, bionics etc...

Hello.
Some bad news today....
THIS is what I recieved from the "caster"

The minis back uncasted as you see, and some things to repair for free..
Well , he said he can't do that on metal , too fragile and detailed he said...
So basically we have lost like 2 weeks of time.

The good news are , I have contacted with my partners at Troll Outpost Miniatures (the company I work for) and they will make the casting for me
They live in Germany , so after repair the minis , I'm gonna send to them this monday moorning.
Just a hard step back , but please don't panic guys , the minis will be done soon.
I'll keep you posted.

That's a pity, In the meantime, we'll have no other option but to get some fresh lead on Ebay or the marketplace here...

Sad times :( hope it's not too much work to repair them. Time doesn't matter too much, I'd rather they took longer and were done right!

Not too worry, its kinda annoying but far from a disaster :)

On a plus note at least Troll Outpost can cast them for you :)

Yes they are very close friends.
Once they get the minis they will do a resin cast first to secure a master of them.
Then if all is fine they will cast the metal copies from that. If something goes wrong with the metal molds (seems to be much more problematic than resin) we can always cast at least resin copies.
Thanks for your understanding guys ;)

Sorry to hear and see this. Hopefully everything works out.

I really hope they will end up being cast in Metal. I don't like resin very much at all. Resin is ok for vehicles, buildings or other larger stuff, but I always prefer my miniatures in Metal.

That said, I would still want some if only option turns out to be resin.

At least there's a way out. I can't see anything on the figures that would be too fine or detailed to cast in metal, the guys I've been using have cast stiletto heels on my amazon and showed me a ton of stuff in 15mm with really, really tiny detail. Just sounds like the guy you spoke to doesn't know his trade. The Troll Outpost castings look really good so I'm sure they'll pull it off.
