Piscean Warrior WIP....Thoughts?

Yes, the size is the same. The only difference being your vresion is standing up more straight and stretching out the body.

I think they fit together really good.

I have one point to make though and this is not ment negatively against your sculpt.

The original Piscean looks much more alien and less humanoid because he is so bent and twisted in the body, where your version looks more humanoid fishman and a bit less non human.

I have a hard time to explain on text, so I hope you get the point. It is deffinately not because I don't like your version as I think it is great! But I would suggest, if you make more Pisceans, to maybe bend and twist them more, like the original, so they will feel more alien and un-earthly.

For a unit it will end up looking great with different poses and variety.

Thanks, I think....

I will be painting them up for an "evil" non-chaos warband. I think they will fit in well with Space Dark Elf Trooper and such mercenaries.

Yeah I understand you pal! In fact I have to fight myself hard to avoid making him even more "humanoid" . Let me explain , those kind of old sculpts ,
while really cool and all , are very wierd in terms of anathomy , I mean I tend to create creature wich can "work" fine if they exist, wich means more mean skeletons ,
muscles and proportions , BUT this was not the case , it needs to look oldschool , so I have to sculpt him against my instincts.
I'll try more "alien" look for the next ones , promise ;)

But a Piscean Warrior probably don't have a bone skeleton at all, it will be made of cartilage and as such more easily bend and the anatomy would still be ok... I think.

I think it is amazing that the sculpt is so near to the original in size. Well done Diego! 8-)

I am sure it would make life a whole lot easier if he had access to the original model to study.

Wow! What a skin. On a tank I would try to get such an effect with a sponge, but how do you do this on such a small scale?

Yeah - that's an awesome paintjob on a great model. I do love the slightly goggle eyed look too; he reminds of a moray eel
