A note on timings - a couple of the contributors may find it difficult to complete and post figures before the Christmas deadline. In order to accommodate, I'm proposing we push back the deadline to mid-January. Any objections?

As for pushing back the deadline well, hah hah, naturally I don't object, not that I'm running late or anything, *aherm*, nope, everything is going to schedule here... heh... heh... *gulp*

The banner is absolutely gorgeous ! I really like the tones and it's true the face is really nice. You really found the best standard bearer we could hope for !

We should accomodate for late entries but just ONCE (see my eyes James ? yeah right atcha) we just don't want the dogs of law to miss such manpower and style

Yes please to the extension - I've had a total painting mojo failure for the last month or so, not even picked up a brush, but I'd still like to take part if I can give myself the necessary kick up the backside.

Although, with the standard and scale of what is on show in these pages, I'm not sure what I've got to add!

Here is the guy I'm working on...I really like this fiure as he is carrying a "few" extra pounds...not unlike some wargammers I've known. No too common to see a fat archer in the GW range these days.



I got flesh tones on him last night...still lots to do!

...back to the paint desk!

Excellent choice ! Can't wait to see him sweating while running after his companions and then mowing foes with his arrows.

To be honest, there still is one fat body in the (not so) recent plastic bret range, merely the only range where you can find such things as snails, frogs, dogs or hats with dead birds on top...

I know we had had some discussions about extending the deadline for the warband ...was that agreed too? I could certainly use another week or two to finalize my entry.

I'm almost 100% certain that mid-January is the new deadline. Mostly my fault but hey, you can't rush genius... or me. I'm hoping to post a progress report tonight, we'll see

Here's a progress report on my entry, the shield was a major hump that needed crossing but now I'm on the downwards slope with the finish in sight. If i can only stop panting long enough to paint the sorceress...
