More accessories and final scans from Warhammer's General's Compendium. Sorry for the spam-like approach, but I thought this could serve as inspiration for some of you.

And some other stuff you can collect. I once owned that Argos pirate ship. There is a Bretonnian man-at-arms inside for size comparison. As you can see, it's quite massive for 28mm scale, but able to transport lots of men.
The raft is from PAPO toys. And the small props are pirate tokens I got on eBay ages ago.

This whole thread is just model ship based porn.... Portography. :?
Love that Dark Elf ship.

So I made a start on my pirate crews.
I have painted up these great Chinese Pirates from the Wargames Foundry
They will obviously be the Nippon crew.
The colour scheme shamelessly stolen from the Witchhunter.

Those look like some seriously accurate and well made muskets Harry - almost 19th Century ;)

Very nice job - I definitely like the cut of their jib!

Come on in Chico - the water's lovey... until the sharks start congregating

Great inspiration from the scan fest Joao!

Looking good too Fimm - can't wait to see the Gobbo crew you're sculpting (congrats on the Woods campaign too!)

Run into a little snag with my own nautical ambitions but will update you all later in the week...

Found these in a cupboard at school, started them a couple of years a go but never got round to getting them finished. Free to a good harbour (i'm in the bedfodrshire area)

Thanks Chico - Still work to do, but all it takes is time. The sail is a handmade stencil stuck on and then painted, too much of a faff, to try and draw it on to the textured surface of the sail, painted and varnished.

Great looking ship Paul :) and is that a hand painted sail?

That's the one, well spotted that man :D And the ships name will be?

Isn't that the Douglas coat of arms? Before they added the the Bruce's heart.

If it's a Douglas it'll probably be Archibald! Or Bell the cat, black Douglas, the good Douglas, the man without a spade in his head?
I took my daughter to see Tantalon castle, the red Douglas' holdfast during the summer, a unique and fascinating castle.
