Oldhammer Ahoy

I'd be very sad if your leadbelchers were not classed as mobile cannons - it's a great idea. Although maybe a -1 to hit due to the slightly less stable firing platform (flesh and bone instead of wood and iron).

also I have some Croc riders from Titan forge, do these count as small vessels?

Love those models. Could the crocs maybe count as Frenzied? That might make the gunning a bit more fun! ;)

Sorry to be a pain guys but I do not have the time to go through all 20 odd pages of posts (including all the brilliant pictures and ideas).

I am already building an WHF ogre army based on Bayou river pirates and figure I could knock out a Paddle steamer in time for BOYL 15.

Could I please have some quick answers to the following questions?
a) how many ships do I need (please let it be one)?
b) what size should it be?
c) if i'm using ogres how many do I need?
d) can I use leadbelchers as mobile cannons?

Thanks in appreciation of any help
If we go by the warhammer ahoy rules as with the modifications I suggest in the first post in the generals compendium .....
One ship is fine.
Any size you like. Less than 18 inches will be medium ,.... more than 18 inches would be large.
Minimum of 3 for a medium boat maximum of 8 and max of 10 for a big boat.
No problem with leadbelchers ... Max of 3 war machines on a large boat.

Here are some potential sea monsters I cought with the internets (bad pun, I know).
All three are from Chap Mei:
- Sperm Wale, aka The Behemoth
- Great white shark, aka The Megaladon
- Deep Angler Fish , aka The Black Leviathan

They have a good size and have the advantage of beeing made from hard plastic instead of the usual rubber stuff.

Re: AW: Oldhammer Ahoy

I am tempted to fly just to put those in my handluggage and see the faces of the people at the scanners:mrgreen:

Oh, 1/50 !(?) thats a rare breed.
I got myself some Playmobil longships but they are very big. Those look much better.
Please post a pic if you have them assembled.

Now I'm wondering whether my rotting carcass of a hulk shouldn't be a Fimir flagship... pirate Orcs might need another boat... this could get out of hand!

Ok, I have two longships for the Fimir, have chopped around my rotting hulk for the Orcs and now I have my goblin crew:

Time I started marrying up some of these divergent projects!

More on the blog. :)

Of course, this should really move to the Oldhammer BOYL Weekend UK part of the forum doncha think? ;)

You have no idea how happy this thread has made me. I've been obsessing over 'Warhammer / Mordheim at Sea' for about four years.

If I can find a suitable ship model, I will absolutely be bringing my crew along. They are raggedy bunch of reprobates so if they can sober up enough to get the sails hauled we should be good to go.
