Oldhamer Legacy Crew 2015 ("Arrr!") - Sign Up and Progress

Re: Oldhamer Legacy Crew 2015 ("Arrr!") - Sign Up and Progre

@Asslessman: great pose on the old plastic. The space-mullet concept is very well executed and goes great with this character. The One Big One indeed.

@Aiteal: love the job you did on the heads and faces, very expressive. Nicely done.

Good stuff rolling in lately. I'm loving the stories that come along with the entries. That investment in character building is a huge part of what makes the Rogue Trader universe pop.

Great back story Aiteal

Just out of curiosity, is that a converted mini or a stock one? If it's a converted one you did a fine job on him!

Lovely pudding job too :)

Re: Oldhamer Legacy Crew 2015 ("Arrr!") - Sign Up and Progre

No apologies necessary Aiteal, it's a great model (Citadel 2000AD mutie, optimus).

Love the skin head effect on his (their?) heads :)

Re: Oldhamer Legacy Crew 2015 ("Arrr!") - Sign Up and Progre

Excellent model; excellent paintjob (especially those faces) and excellent back story. Perfect combo !

Re: Oldhamer Legacy Crew 2015 ("Arrr!") - Sign Up and Progre

If only I could string a sentence together then maybe my character would be complete too

I'm really crap at coming up with unique backgrounds for my minis

My utmost respect for those of you that can 8-)

Thanks guys, I really enjoyed painting this mini, almost sad to let him go now ;)
I normally struggle with bald heads as highlighting a dome can be a bit hit and miss, so I tried to give them a skin/stubble head look, I didn't highlight the skin in those areas beyond the initial bugman's glow base and instead at the end applied a few coats of a mid blue and vallejo glaze medium. It worked out much better than I hoped.

Is it still ok to come in and paint something ?
'Cause I have an ork without hands who's just begging for hooks !

Re: Oldhamer Legacy Crew 2015 ("Arrr!") - Sign Up and Progre

My entry is nearly done, save for some paint. Hopefully I wont cock it up *snort, snigger*, I'm going to have a real ball finishing it off *titter, chortle*, in fact you might say that I'm really looking forward to the exposure this entry will give to the competition in general *giggle, guffaw*...

Re: Oldhamer Legacy Crew 2015 ("Arrr!") - Sign Up and Progre

Agreed, we need some progress! As for Crooks' comments....where's Chico when you need him?
