Old Worlder Ally Contingent

First I painted the leather on all the horses.

Then I painted the riders partially, so that at least all parts that are hard to reach once glued to the horses.

I glued the riders to the horses and blocked in all the base colors.

I designed the flag of the unit in Inkscape, basically using the same imagery as with the foot squad, except for having the pig holding a lance.

I printed it and painted it,

before cutting it out.

The unit is done.

The Oldworlder Ally Contingent is done with that last unit, too.

congratulations.

Thank you :)

After only 7.5 years (it was of course never intended to take that long...) the contingent is finally done. Seeing all the models on display makes me a bit proud :)

Final tally:

Code:
| Unit | Warhammer Armies | My Contingent | Pic Ref |
|-------------------------------+------------------+---------------+---------|
| Contingent Commander | 0-1 | 2 | A (G) |
| Imperial Templar | 0-10 | 12 | E (G) |
| Bretonnian Chevaliers Errants | 0-30 | 24 | F |
| Border Horse | 0-30 | 38 | D (G) |
| Imperial Infantry | 0-50 | 53 | C |
| Kislevites | 0-30 | 34 | B |

With my final purchase I was a bit confused it seems (can happen over a period of eight years...) and bought 6 more border horse (G) instead of 6 more Chevalier Errants... Well, a near hit. At least the total number of riders is correct ;)

Storage

The whole contingent fits in three A4 copying paper boxes.

Here you can see the reason why I use metal bases.

Yes, the boxes are standing on their side walls. Thanks to the magnetic sheets I glued in as box bottoms, that is no problem. I even trust the magnets enough to put the boxes upside down... like 80% or so... so no photo of that.
