That is a lovely figure, probably better than your first choice!

I like him lots... but then again I am biased as I have one in my 'To Paint' stash ;)

They have some cracking other mini's, I love the clerics!

I fancied the half orc fighter/cleric.

Remind me to show you my Otherworld collection brother, didn't know you were a fan. This year is the first I haven't got myself a gold voucher, I may do yet. I also backed the kick starter for the full set of adventurers, henchmen and extras. Richard lives just 5 mins down the road from me, next time your over we can visit and see all his painted otherworld minis as well as his collection of painted citadel AD&D.

Anyway he is a great wizard, a conversion of the kick starter one, on the purchase list, I don't have him yet, jut the one he's converted from.

Only just found them dear Brother. He reminds me of Merlin from "Excalibur".

I think I can get away with painting him up as a relatively young new wizard. I would of liked him to have a sword in hand but hey ho.

It says he's 29mm so I'm a little worried he may be a teeny weeny bit out of scale with the other characters (like the Reaper one is) but he's quite slight so I think I should get away with it.

If a new miniature is ok then

I'm going to be using the Wizard. I have no issue with age of mini's, if they're good enough then they're old enough.

Otherworld minis look old skool anyway. That's why I have some of their zombie models. The sculptor that did the zombies for them did the heresy zombie and ghouls too.

They are the three conversations of the kickstarter ones.

They match late 80's citadel quite well for size.

If your going with the half Orc cleric Barney, do you have a preference for god followed, just general areas of godliness, like war, storms, that sort of thing, unless you know your old world gods of course.

Good shout, I'm still working my way through the rest of the minis checking them out and the zombies are great indeed, I also really like the gargoyles and the mercs and the squire (could be useful Col for your bloke as he makes some coin from dungeonering).

I was having a look at the otherworld stuff and it is a lovely range of stuff. They had a really nice stand at Salute. If Sir Tedwin turns out to be successful he may very well need someone to hold his torch.

Oh dear I've just felt my converting muscle twitch.....

I'm not overly familiar with all the old world gods but after a quick google I think I may be a little clearer.

I am working out a background story for this guy which involes part Norse heritage so I quite fancy Ulric or Tor as his chosen deities - would either of these be ok?

Snickit - I like your figure choices; the V2 warrior is on my want list :)

Ulric is fine, what I was thinking for him to be honest.

The way this is going you'll all be roleplaying rather than war-gaming. Obviously don't let me stop you, I'm hoping we end up with something more of a hybrid between the two, advanced hero quest with bells on if you will.

Oh and just realized I told some porky pies about your choices Dave, the Monk and thief you chose are the kickstarter options. Richard is releasing a warbands game with 7TV we will have to give a go if you get into the wonderful but expensive realm of otherworld.

That suits me, I thought that was kind of where we were going anyhow, not full on roleplay but not a full on wargame, so yes, Advanced Heroquest is a good approximation.

I do like the Otherowrld stuff but yes, as you say, they are quite expensive so I don't mind a few nice pieces but I may not get into buying huge amounts of his stuff.

The game sounds good though and I'd defo be up for it, do you mean a Warbands as in Mordheim type of game or a Warbands as in Realms of Chaos kind of game?
