Buggery, I just won a Krell on ebay, I already have Kemmler himself, does this mean I am committed to Terror of the Lichemaster, or does that not kick in until say 3 of the main models are bought?

Go for it. That said, some of the protagonists are rare, pricey & fugly. There are better-looking options. So, proxy away, I say.

ERZATSOLDER
The most versatile of all the imperial soldiers, the humble swordsman.
They are led by Karl Raspe who is a distant relation of Count Halven.
A veteran of campaigns in Tilea he thinks himself a bit fancy and cultured.
He even claims to have visited Lustria and far off Cathay.
He is proud of his moustache.
The banner is carried by Adolphus and shows the crest of the Halven family who rule the village of Heiligsheld.
This banner is significant as when taken into battle, holy relics are hung from it.
They are the last remains of Imre Jenz, the person from whom the village got its current name.
He died in 2155 defending what is now an old ruined shrine off in the forest from followers of chaos.
The unit has a couple of Martyn Hauer’s old mercenary lads in it, one of which has a brother in the Armbrustschutzen led by ‘Short’ Basil.
At the rear is Heinrich the units musician. When roused his pipes let forth a terrible wailing that puts fear into friend and foe alike.

Some suitably antique enemies for the hardy Stirlanders! I painted Kemmler for a commission not long ago which I was really happy about, since he can be so expensive to get hold of. Found him a real joy to paint, besides the odd wonky detail. Enjoy!

Excuse the photos taken before the base was finished, but I went pretty silly on this one. Client likes things to be very bright and Middlehammer-y and it was definitely interesting to do Kemmler in that way but imo he would really, really suit the more sensible, grounded style you've applied to your Stirlanders.

Your choices are pretty limited if you’re Citadel Oldhammering it. Two in the Night Horrors range & some AD&D licensed range ones. FWIW, I prefer the first release AD&D Ghouls. Check out the first release Ghasts too.

oh, there are a fair number of old metal skellys.. for ghouls you not just have night horrors range but they did some in the undead range, Fiend Factory which where later replaced with citadel own ones after they lost the TSR deal.. and some kinda depend on what kinda of ghoul you are looking for..

The AD&D line Wights are also far closer visually to a ghoul than to the Warhammer notion of a Wight, so might be worth a look.

When I wrote about the cottage I built:
I put in a throwaway comment about there being a herb garden.
So I recently made said garden, as the lore has to be accurate.
As it was an afterthought it is a separate piece but I tried to get it to blend fairly well.
But then after that throwaway comment about there being a herb garden, to my vexation I read that I claimed there was a cat living there too.
So here is the cat.
I will be careful what I write in future!
