There seem to be areas on your miniatures where paint is chipped off. E. g. the lip of the wolf rider, or the fist of the swine ogre. Why is this so? Don't you base coat your miniatures?

No they are undercoated and base coated often with a black undercoat and a grey zenthil. Possibly incompetence when dry brushing the Orc but no idea what the issue with the swine head is. Thanks for the comment every observation is useful.

These are the latest additions a white skaven for the November White Dwarf Monthly challenge and another Chaos Warrior repair job. Actually the skaven also had a minor repair to top of the staff and yes I did spot the paint splatter on the base and fixed it after taking the photo and up loading it.. The Marauder Chaos warrior was an unusual repair in that I actually found a broken off axe head from another one of these in the lead pile.

Ogreber new recruit. Ogreber has been at it again recruiting from the far north, this is Rolf Boarsticker an ogre from the far north attracted by easy money and cheap grub by the prime on demand ogre agency OGREBER. He hasn't found out about zero hours contracts yet. He's an Essex Fantasy FANseries 2a Ogre with huge mallet except being me he came with head missing from his mallet and also missing a dead dwarf - I would really have liked the dead dwarf! There are rumours, possibly started by a member of this Forum, that a protest movement to the predator organisation is expected soon.

Thinks perhaps as he's from Essex he should be from the far south after all the only way is Essex?

Recent recruitment success by Ogreber has prompted a completely community based protest by more conservative ogres as predicted by a certain symphonic poet on this forum. Concerned that the unscrupulous zero hours contracts and undercutting of prices were putting their lively hoods at risk they have taken to the streets calling for a ban on Ogreber. The uniform attire and marching has raised doubts about how spontaneous this protest is but a spokesman for Golgfag said "While he supports fully the action of the ogres it has nothing to do with him, but his guys are still receiving full pay."
These are a group of RR8 Golgfag's Mercenary Ogres who had all lost the heads from their weapons and one had a bashed chin, he now has a greenstuff beard and all have plastic weapon heads and a banner from various sources.

More ogres to follow.

In response to Golgfags fake news protest movement Ogreber continues to recruit more suckers - err independent security operatives. In this case a pair of Alternative Armies Orrid Ogres and a C27 Slave Ogre without half orc handlers in this case, saves on salaries. The Orrid ones are characterful but my aim of painting the pig as a rare breed Glouscester Old Spot hasn't turned out very well. The Slave Ogre is inspired by the one in Kev Adams collection http://eldritchepistles.blogspot.com/2015/09/the-kev-adams-collection-part-2.html. The ogres did some sight seeing while in town as you can see, the backdrop is courtesy of my youngest grand daughter's 3d jigsaw. Comments and criticism encouraged.

They look appropriately chaotic. :) And they appear to be parading around outside a government building. Very on point. Very nice collection!

They are indeed the home of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second Buckingham Palace. They are on a walking tour because the Big Red Bus isn't running due to the lock down, otherwise they would have been "ogring" from the top deck

Ah! The color threw me. I never have been able to pick that house out in a crowd. London's other landmarks steal all the attention. (Rather like the Tower Bridge manages to get all the glory that should probably go to that other one.) Was wondering what building that was. It certainly looks governmental, but I was guessing it was a sort of generic "Plasticville" style "this is a big government building" kit rather than something so very particular.

Far too small scale for 28mm but would work for epic / 6mm? But I do think as background it works. Strangely I was inspired to use it by a documentary about the making of Blade Runner, the opening scene model was mainly etched brass a few inches high but 6 feet deep.

^Most of the ones I've looked up have been on the somewhat smaller scale side of things, but I agree with you it makes a good backdrop. Forced perspective is a thing. An undersized backdrop, perhaps desaturated and blued slightly, can look remarkably effective. And there's something to be said for a model shot with real depth. :)

I just feel the fool for failing to recognize it. I was in the UK fully three months barely more than a year ago. I clearly spent too much time traipsing about all points to the north. I don't believe I ever got south of Heathrow. ;)

No that actually shows you make wise decisions about use of your time nothing worth bothering with south of Watford junction or as a Scot Hadrians wall

Good to see many more figures joining your forces. The goblin and wolf are great figures , maybe some slight lighter green highlights on the face of the goblin to bring out his crude and cruel features? but i like anyway the atmosphere of the figure and painting you did. Is this going to be a full unit of wolf riders ? that would be good to see.

Thanks for the advice I'll have to improve the green tones as yes there will be more including 9-10 Kev Adams wolves with Knightmare Goblin wolf rider scouts. Then there will be some more Nick Lund Chronicle Orc wolf riders. Maybe even a wolf drawn chariot. I really do have to get the green right don't I. All suggestions encouraged.

As promised more wolf riders hopefully with improved skin painting. first up a Kev Adams BlackHat wolf with a gobbo from a mystery source. He originally had a halberd but it broke off so now he he has become the standard beare for the bleeding eye goblin scouts.

Next up a C21 Goblin Wolf rider Grubtog Clubspike on an anonymous wolf. He had a run in with a giant rat so now has a wooden leg.
