Building a Daemonic Legion of Slaanesh

Since the Fiends of Slaanesh allowance of my daemonic legion is now maxed out at twenty four painted, I asked one of the Legion’s Keepers to take them on a fun outing to celebrate. He decided to ‘run’ the Fiends through the streets of Bogenhafen, and a good time was had by all. Although, they did make a bit of a mess…happy Fiends.

You could make a White Dwarf style mini-game out of that.

Running if the fiends…I’m getting dark deeds vibes spliced with zombicide.

Each player gets a pack of six Fiends. Random civilians try to cross the streets or run away, occasionally one turns to fight. Movement allowance is random and it costs more to go sideways or move backwards. Musk can lure civilians towards you. Instability is a thing stealing movement or even removing Fiends. Players draw cards at the beginning with various combos of civilians on them. Weirder combinations score more points but are harder to find. Civilians can be sacrificed (horribly murdered) to keep instability at bay. When your fiends all exit the board at the other end of the street your running is over.

I'm guessing that if you trip and fall getting gored would be the least of your worries. I'm also wondering about the fiend droppings. That has to be a pain to clean up.

I want to play this game. It sounds FANTASTIC!

I haven’t been to one since i was living in the UK, 2018 I think. If I’m making that trip, I want to get a proper daemonic legion battle set up…RoC rules, the ancient way.

Very likely. And, that’s only if the participants planned and deconflicted their army lists and the ‘rules’ forehand.

Started working on future additions to the glorious Legion. First to show off is a Liche to lead the Undead contingent. The previous contender (also pictured) is going to be an undead champion instead now. The new model came from Crooked Dice. I like her emaciated look, and just gave her a Slaaneshi icon to show her new allegiance.

I check on whatever sculpts Drew (Satyr Arts) releases, and noticed his pair of new minotaurs a while back. Having finished my unit ‘The Pale Worms’, I wasn’t in the market for minotaurs, per say, but, when I noticed that this healthy big fella had a padlock on his junk, I knew he had to be inducted into the legion. Again, like the liche, a simple weapon swap to a slaaneshi icon mace is all that was really needed here. Should he be painted as another pale worm, or something weirder, like maybe leopard spots?

This model was sculpted by Satyr Art Studios and is a loving homage to this John Blanche depiction of Slaanesh him/herself from Realm of Chaos Slaves to Darkness.

I, of course, had to make a few additions of my own. This pose on this model seemed very agile and athletic, and I wanted to depict 'her' as some sort of deadly fast, although still huge duelist. 'She' will serve in the legion as the third and final daemon prince allowed. But, 'she' could also be the sixth Keeper if I so desired. In fact, modern rules for Slanneshi daemons now have a named daemon prince who is a hunter of other greater daemons and some such. So, I gave 'her' a nasty pointy wall-shield, which is really a buckler on 'her'. I also changed her scepter into a full-blown icon of Slannesh. With the new toys, 'She' could stand in for the named Keeper model nicely, and it gave 'her' a distinct look from the other Keepers in my legion.

That’s a fair question. She is quite tall.

Here is a pic of her with some recognizable friends. Incidentally, the three daemon princes here also constitute the maximum allowance for a Slaaneshi Legion.
