Bestiary of the Exalted and the Unfortunate

Awesome!

Haha... I imagined them dragging the ruined palanquin behind them on those chains you mentioned. Had it in my mind that the scaredies would be fleeing all over the place, whipping the thing around like a hazardous sled.

A very good conversion.
Really oldschool blanchesque.

My Fimir&Throne comes along nicely too. Yesterday I have received the chains, sculpted the sack padding on the back of the fimir where the throne will rest and I have started with the last gargoyle faces.

Excellent and disturbing entry ! Really excellent,

I've started converting my entry and... kinda stopped mid-way :?
(put his hand on his RoC tomes) I swear I'll have my entry done before the end of December !

THat thing is proper scary! Will the forum commission a photographer to take images of all these models and make a book? I think it would be worth while....

Well have a look at the intro of this thread, I started this project and plan to commission myself to complete the editing ;)

Depending on this year response, I am thinking to eventually refer to a close contact of mine which specialises in coediting and printing low volume books. He usually works with people doing autobiography or schools that release books for classes year end projects. The good thing about him is that his love for details and quality is equal to his love for books!

As for the photographer, we have the issue that we are not all sharing the same continent ;)

I am loving the twisted insanity and creativity of this thread! I am seeing some marvellous abominations here. So much so I would like to enter myself with the Nurgle entry.

255 --- Human --- Crossbreed with warhound, mechanical body (metal arms and hands), FP3 --- ---

However I will move country by the end of the year and so i am not sure on my timescales to be able to do this. Could I enter and if I miss the end of 2014 I then go in for the book for start 2016?

I took some pictures.
My wife told me I should add some worm holes and maggots.
I think i will do hat after the chains have been attached. Same more fungi and than the worms on top. Yummy.

Standing slow claps

This is genius, no less. Skill+talent = Megawin
The throne is really great with this old school vibe and sense of old crumbling wood while still mighty. Can't wait to see this one finished.

Totally awesome looking. Your wife is quite correct, woodworm, maggots, mould, slimy bits FTW.

Also, your wife is awesome for even thinking that!

Looks excellent.

Wow Niibl!
You are really raising the bar with this guy, opening the way to sheer madness by extentind the concept to more than simply the champion itself... I love everything from it!
By the way, don't expect me to stand there watching you hitting that strong without any response, it is now personnal

Wait 'til you see my brush work.
I haven't done one stroke for more than a year.
I was tempted to offer someone else this job but that feels like cheating and admitting defeat at the same time. Probably my paints have all dried up - I will know once I have found them.:?

You know what, I loooove my hobby! I may say that through the beer I am actually drinking, but what unfolds under my eyes these days impresses me and gets me exhilarated.
I sincerily hope you guys will enjoy the Bestiary of the Exalted and the Unfortunate, after all, if the Oldhammerers don't, who will? ;)
Well now enough feelings, let's get back to what truely mathers!

So I give you 430 --- Elf --- Bestial face - flamer, black skin, tentacles - both arms, agility, silly walk, FP3.
Remember that wood elf I was threatening? I am no butcher, therefore, there was no way I would cut such a wonderfull OOP cast.
Only adding was quite challenging, with that in mind I think I achieved a very satisfying result.
I allways loved this range of war dancers and this is the only one I dared to buy... and now that she is a tzeentchian follower it deserves paint!

And now why not give her a husband (I really need to tie something in the backstory about that)
190 --- Elf wizard --- Magic level 1, walking head, pointed head, rotting flesh, bestial face - flamer, warty skin (save +1), limb loss - one leg, FP3

Great conversions and I look forward to see them painted.
The backstory will be fun to read, for sure (you work good under pressure, right?).
I am missing the warty skin of the husband though.

So it is less than a month to complete your entries! If in doubt on finishing in time, ask yourself: "What would Mel Gibson do? Kapla!" .

On my side, it is progressing quite well and will keep a couple of suprises for the "official" release.

True, I plan on applying fine grain sand with watered down PVA glue
