Axiom's Miscellaneous Painted Stuff

I agree DAGabriel, Romana isn't the best Citadel female. But she's not the worst, but a long way ;)

Anyway, here's the latest addition to this little grouping, Professor Barossus, the Marcisa's personal tutor:

The Professor is a 1985 Citadel Fighter. I removed a bow from his left side and covered up the quiver. To tech him up a bit, he got a couple of minor doo-dads from the new plastic Skitarii kit. After painting him, I decided he needed a mobile blackboard of sorts, hence the little servo-skull with holo-board display :)

Here's the Marcisa with her two personal attendants:

Thanks jon_1066. Funny how the last minute additions become the key part in the narrative of a figure :)

an outstanding job!
i've never considered the dr. who range of minis, but after your version of Romana...
fantastic job with wirm, i just love the blanche style!

Thanks guys! Folks seem to like that little bull terrier :)

@Andrea Mangoni - Wyrm was a very enjoyable figure to make. I love that Blanche style, so it was fun to try and make a homage to it.

I've painted a real mix of stuff over the last week - some of which in a hotel room as I was away for part of last week with work.

First up, some long awaited and overdue scatter terrain:

Then the scientist model from Citadel's Talisman range, to accompany my tech priest from a few weeks ago:

Then a space pirate as part of my contribution to the Oldhammer Legacy Warband project:

Finally an old figure from Citadel's Paranoia range, which I intend to use as an ammo trader:

No real direction or purpose with these, but I've enjoyed painting them :)

I love all of them, really charming stuff. No matter you don't see a direction for them, you'll end up finding one for sure

i love that talisman scientist. i had that model when i was a kid and did one of my best paint jobs on it. of course, it all went onto ebay in ym early 20s and now i'm looking for it again.

but the thing that gets me is the terrain. those oil drums look real. i'm in awe!

Thanks all!

It's funny that the barrels have got some much love (here and elsewhere). They were the easiest and quickest to paint too...I wonder if it's the green and rust that makes them stand out? :)

I'm just preparing for an Inquisimunda campaign that will kick off in a couple of weeks. I'm planning to use Inquisitor Dirske and his henchmen, but needed a couple of extra recruits to the retinue.

This is Jun Lek - a slightly mutated Acoloyte. He's built from a very old 1980s hobgoblin, with some plastic skitarii bits and gun added:

The model has a rather cool shield, which I enhanced with the addition of an Inquisition symbol, made from a few strips of plasticard:

Also added to the retinue is this mutie with autogun. He's an unconverted figure from the 1980s Citadel Judge Dredd range - I think he fits rather nicely into the vibe!

Finally, I made a couple of stalls for an ammo trader. They're laser cut tables a friend gave me, with various guns and ammo added from my bits box:

Introducing N.A.T.E. (Necromundan Artificial Tactical Enforcer) and C.U.R.R (Canine Utility Retrieval Robot). Cyber-mastiffs are used by the Adeptus Arbites and Enforcers throughout the Imperium. Some are fully artificial constructs, others are cyborgs, more akin to servitors. C.U.R.R. is the latter - a feral canine enhanced with cybernetic implants and simple tracking/retrieval programming.

N.A.T.E. is somewhat more unusual - artificial intelligence is shunned and feared by the Imperium. Even the Adeptus Mechanicus rarely develop autonomous robotic constructs. N.A.T.E. was developed for the Necromundan Enforcers by Cybermyme, a shadowy tech guild, rumoured to be bankrolled by Lord Helmawr himself. N.A.T.E. is the perfect robot cop - able to respond to situational changes, immune to human error, clad in thick armour plates, and, or course, armed with the Arbitor's tool of the trade - the enforcer pattern boltgun.

Here are the two new recruits alongside some other Arbitors:

N.A.T.E. is a Citadel Paranoia robot with the addition of a plastic boltgun, while C.U.R.R. is a Citadel AD&D blink dog with a few plastic bits added.

Another new figure to show off - this time Lord Greiss from my Colony 87 range

Lord%2B2.JPG

Lord%2B1.JPG

He's been painted up to the same scheme as a couple of previous figures (Anamuria and Eduardo):

Perhaps he's her father, or rather grumpy uncle? ;)

This happened to my poor little ratling, Scrat, in a recent game:

Seeing as he was swallowed completely whole, I decided to make a new replacement. Introducing Sneek:

Sneek%2B1.JPG

He's from the same family as Scrat; made from a RT gretchin, this time with the addition of a Tallarn head and lasgun barrel.

Lope is the huntsman for Lord Greiss of House Ulanti. A rather grim individual, who also happens to be an ace tracker and crack shot. I wonder where he picked up those skills?

The figure is one of the Confrontation bounty hunters with the addition of modern plastic Skitarii arms:
