I'm happy to contribute stuff to this but I have no idea what, so I'm open to suggestions. Anything needed of a collecting nature?

How about some myth busting articles about highly collectible miniatures? How much they really should go for etc rather than the overpriced BINs and bidding war malarky stuff?

Love that idea.

First article needs to be about how the bubble has burst for the 80's Citadel market and that it's now all a load of worthless tat - then we might see ebay prices tumbling down...

Oh ya that will happen. Or better yet all 80's figures will be made available again.....only in FINECAST!

Zhu if you're up for doing a face lift I'm happy to give you admin rights to get it done if that would be easiest.

Yeah, that would be best. I'll probably work in incremental steps. I take it the dark background suits most people?

Ok that's great Zhu thanks for volunteering, you have admin rights now.

I'm happy with the dark background personally.

Cool beans.

I've had a play, calming everything down. Firefox isn't behaving well with pulling webfonts from another service, so I'll need to look into that, so it does look more characterful in Safari or whatever.

Cool. Got the 'antique' webfont working in FF now... will look at using the Oldhammer Chaos graphic, possibly in the blue/grey.

Indeed - many thanks. Looks the biz!

Content-guys, can you make a few changes as follows:
Link to the forums, maybe even under the "Pages" header even if it's not technically an in-blog page. It needs to be separated from the other stuff.

OLDHAMMER BLOGS AND SITES
The BLOOD Forum - remove, outdated

Realm of Chaos - Rename to Nico's Realms of Chaos (to avoid confusion with the other ROC-named blog in the list)
Realms of Chaos - remove, duplicate entry of above

OLDHAMMER MINIS
Treps Games - remove, not much business going on if you know what I mean

I realize there's a bigger overhaul on the blogroll etc - just thought I'd post about the glaringly obvious. =)

Cheers. There's a few other bits I want to do but the basic direction is there. Glad you guys approve.

Can we change "Oldhammer Miniatures" to "Old School Miniatures"... any miniatures are oldhammer :) Can we ensure we only list sites that are currently trading and have product to buy right now. Also some form of approval process in place? There are a lot of miniatures companies I like but are they relevant (should we list the Perrys? everything Bob Olley / Kevin Adams has ever done? )

Can we have a "Useful Sites" (or something, not fixed on the words) that lists: Stuff of Legends / Collecting Citadel Miniatures Wiki / Oldhammer Wiki / Lost Miniatures Wiki

Can we remove the "Oldhammer Realm of Chaos warbands 2013" and "Oldhammer - Bring Out Your Lead! (2013)" pages and replace them with a page called "Events", that lists and links off to various events (include the historical ones)?

Yep thanks again Zhu.

The content clearly needs an overhaul, links are hopelessly out of date but then I hadn't touched it in a long time. I'll start reorganizing that side of things shortly.

I was away for a few days, got back and big changes were afoot!

Zhu - I really like the redesign, especially the font you have chosen for the titles of pots. It looks slick and more professional.

Erny- I feel we need some nice big banner links to the forum, FB group (it its new Spanish language version) on the right hand side.

Everyone - I was wandering if the Oldhammer Day stuff from '13 would be best served as a separate page accessible from the top. It would be a simple matter to cherry pick photos from us all and just do a little 'overview' of what its all about, what happened etc in preparation for Gaj's 'BIG DRIVE' in the Spring. It would serve as a great way of showing interested parties of the sort of stuff that happens at Oldhammer meet ups (might be worth putting on some of the battle reports the regional groups have do too, even if they were only links for further reading) and what facilities are like at this years location.

Oh, and 26 odd new followers in a few days is great news indeed!

Well done all!

All good ideas Orlygg, I have a long weekend coming up so will be able to take a stab at it then.

Oh and I imagine most of those 26 were directed there from your blog Orlygg so big thumbs up on that one.

I think this makes for a really positive community project to bring together the various tendrils we have put out over the last couple of years. The way we went from a query on my part about an unloved blog to an exciting opportunity to explore defines the whole oldhammer experience to me, you guys are all great!

I've been mulling over any potential contributions I might make and I think the best solution at least in the short-term is for the powers that be to port anything from my blog they see fit. I do have some general collecting articles planned that may be of interest to community members but I'm in a bit of a blog-writing hiatus at the moment, so I wouldnt want to commit and then not turn up the goods. I think a number of you have my blog in your blog-rolls so you are welcome to port across anything you see fit at any time.
