I'm calling the Van-Saar Necromunda gang done...
So that's a mix of my original models painted way back in my 'yoof.
Of those I did have to do the skin on the chap fourth from the left, for whatever reason I never did finish him off. The Heavy Stubber is missing his backpack. I'm pretty sure I've seen it, but no idea where it is (so if anyone has one spare message me!).
And here are the ones I have just painted. I decided I wasn't going to try to match the old models and would just paint them as I would now. They could maybe do with some iconography, which maybe I'll add one day.
I was pleased with the flesh, I've never been that great at skin, but it worked out well this time. Anyhow time for some varnish and it'll be time for a game. I'd picked up some TT Combat terrain and have painted that up so just about sorted!

That flesh colour is really good!! Love the clean bright colours overall though.

Flesh was just working with the standard GW really - so Kislev Flesh, wash of Reikland Fleshshade. Then layered glazes of Kislev Flesh mixed in with some other lighter flesh tones - a mix of Vallejo Model Color ones and WarColours ones, maybe about five or so layers I think. Red Vallejo wash for the mouths. Eyes white and slight off black for the pupils. Hair mostly done with GW contrast paints (although generally mixed with other bits, so for instance the grey is Black Templar with Vallejo Grey wash).
I have wondered about dirtying down things a bit, but what the hell I quite like them all bright and crisp!

I picked up some specific flesh tone paint at the weekend as my lazy contrast wash technique isn’t quite cutting the mustard… 🤔
Maybe the juves are tasked with cleaning the gang’s outfits? 😉 Alternatively a little pigment powder may help make them look more like denizens of the underhive?

Bravo! Nice, solid gang. The green is an excellent choice. Sneaking the old tech ganger in is a great idea. And the red touches on the one fellow with the shotgun helps to break things up. Well done!
