Speaking of which ... actually I have two ox cart wagons to paint when some bases arrive in a few days - the lead is too soft to not mount them - and I was hoping you might be able to ID them...

Got two of them, thinking they might do as generic baggage train or general village terrain. No idea where they are originally from.
 
looks close but a number of differences (Ox isn't the same model if you look closely, the cart also has a number of difference but a bit tricky to tell at first look).

But I think you are close on the mark but it is a bit more of a mix.

for example, this Ox by them is MUCH closer and looks like it might be the right one
(note the double harness and bits which are much closer.
I also think the cart is right BUT the erm.. bars which attach to the yoke are different and the wheels are from another set
 
Appreciate the thoughts. If any further piccies would assist just let me know, but don't go crazy looking!

As another aside ... I thought I'd tweak one of the new (old) Plaguebearers into a standard. I've a couple of plastic banner toppers presumably left over from the plastic plaguebearers. Couple of rough mockups - any thoughts on which is better? I'll probably just use a bit of brass for the actual rod FWIW.

I'll be the odd voice of dissent. I like the first one. The impaled corpse has more depth to it, and I think it's plenty enough banner all by itself. The horns give some contrast, and the tripartite ball bit makes it clear whose staff this is. The second one seems a bit flat, and it really just feels like bits of sheet styrene with holes drilled in it somewhat irregularly. The bells give a little depth, but they don't cry out Nurgle, and they don't add as much interest as the body. I much prefer the first one. (With complete respect to Michael Stockin and Brother Meredith, who are both better painters than I.)

This will be why they are the left overs as the best one is already on the plastics! (at bottom of post) Although I'm not 100% sure the impaled corpse came from that set - I just have a box of "Nurgle bits" that might be useful so it all ends up together.
 
I imagine there have been many carts over the years. Appreciate the ID. They are primed now and I need to ponder how different to make the oxen from the carts! ... not going to do a complex paint job - just a quick get 'em done and put away!

Plague Bearers are finished now so will break out the camera at some point maybe next week.

@symphonicpoet has a point about the 'flatness', but without being able to fully gauge that with a side shot, i'd still go with the second one.
