Very nice. I do like the colour scheme with the bright red. That eye shield is cool.

Nice job on some classic orcs and absolutely seconding EricF's comment about red - it makes these orcs really pop!
Their faces, and especially that of C15 (1C-15), remind me of orcs from Ralph Bakshi's LoTR. Maybe because of the fangs? That movie gave me some traumas as a kid.

Thanks! Glad to hear you like it :)
And I agree definitely reminded me a lot of those old animated orcs, the best kind IMO! (Though I do like pig faced orcs…)

a milestone. well done.
Thanks! Here’s hoping I don’t buy more!

23 Ersatzsolders & level 15 hero for the empire! All with additional hand weapons.
Their all black outfits are a bit boring and not much fun to paint
Might go back and add some patterning to the lot… more to go so onward!

I think the lot of these are Minifigs Historicals but I’ve had a difficult time tracking them down in any catalog.

Nice!
Which version of Bugman’s are you working on?
Thank you!
Will be starting with V1 but I’ve got lots of other dwarf goods stashed away for when the time comes :)
I think I’d mentioned it in a previous note, over the past few years I’ve been giving my brother dwarfs for birthdays and whatever other holidays I deem good enough for dwarf gifting. I’ll have to get some decent photos of my past gifts and compile them all here.

My painting mojo has been off so far this year, decided to do some practice work on backdrops as I’d like to up my photo game some more!
Anyways, not entirely oldhammer but adjacent I suppose - Here is “Emotional Goblin” for your viewing pleasure.

Ersatzsolders' unit leader's cloack is really nice! I'm a sucker for a good take on astronomical freehands on cloacks. Just love 'em.

And that slayer is looking excellent. Maybe I'm slightly biased (for thinking that dwarfs are the best race in WHFB), but this might be my favourite of your minis so far. It's also painted exactly as I intend to paint mine; Original wfrp cover for the win. ;)
I wasn't originally sold on idea of slayers' beards not being orange but now I think it makes sense from both lore point of view and painting wise, too. Easier to make each one look different if all of them are not sporting orange beard. :) You did a lovely job with this one, I'm sure your brother's happy with this one.

Relatable...

And about painting of emo goblin... Really digging that background, sky and that one happy little tree on your painting. And gobbo definitely looks suitably emotional indeed (either he's got pink eye or just feels getting overwhelming?)
Curious about what's the story with the flower?

Thank you for the many kind comments Geroak II
The goblin as a whole was a late addition to the painting since I knew I wouldn’t be using the practice backdrop for much of anything. My wife suggested the sad gobbo should be carrying a flower. So that’s it, I’ll probably keep doing these until I get a backdrop that I’m happy with. Thanks again :)

You're most welcome. Thanks for sharing your minis and painting with the rest of us.
I think the flower is a neat little touch, something you'd not expect a goblin to be holding. Gives that sad little guy so much more personality and food for thought of why he's holding it.

Seconding what Geroak II said. (Though wondering about the definition of "happy little tree.") Great stuff! Looks properly like Cirith Ungol in the background there, so maybe Mr. Flowers for Mordor is that one Gobbo who decided Frodo and Sam were really okay.

Thanks symphonicpoet I appreciate the thoughts and feedback :)
After a bit more pondering, perhaps the goblin is preparing for the long journey to San Francisco

Thanks for that. Now I'll have this song stuck in my head for the next few days. ;)

But just like that it's all piecing together; Hard to put flowers on your hair if you don't have a freak flag to fly, which might explain gobbo's dour look. Life of a goblin ain't bed of roses... Yeah, I'll get my coat.

edit.
@symphonicpoet: We all need some Bob Ross's positivity in our lives every now and then, no? :)
