Rider Citadel 5410 Mummy 8, Mount Citadel C21 Skeletal Horse 2. Another conversion, had another spare horse and a mummy with a broken weapon- seemed to me to be a good unit leader. I think I’ll go back and paint his feather white before I continue on.

Thanks to you both, I had a similar thought while going through my undead bits looking for a proper rider. Quite happy with my decision, though the scale is a bit off imo..

After finishing the death riders I decided to switch to what I thought would be a quick project since I only needed to paint one miniature! I’d shown some of these lizards previously in the thread, they were painted by their previous owner but I rebased the lot to match my other desert dwellers. Unfortunately they were heavily cemented to their double bases so I left them as is, worried I would damage them/their lovely paint jobs. Another obstacle I faced was my gloss coating giving them a dull appearance and rough texture. Probably my own error in technique, I went back and brushed them all to remove as much of the matte as possible and decided to stop there. I had planned on applying a matte coat afterwards, as per routine, but I didn’t want to dull them any further. Anyways here’s the lot of them.

Struggling to find much painting time recently, managed to muster up some more of my 1001 nights army.

As Orctober is upon us I’m switching up projects to finish off an old warband. Made up mostly of Heritage figures with a few citadel models used as characters.

This month I hope to be wrapping up the project and painting the rest of my armored orcs (only a few), for now enjoy some photos of the current gang. Sun worshippers from the mountains north of Estark - The Keepers of the Light of Mog.

Finished off another pair of orcs, so now all of my orcs are painted!






And here’s a pic of them formed into a small unit - for larger WFB games these would be included in my savage orc army as a unit of black orcs with a detachment?

They will likely get more use in smaller skirmish or rpg games but it would be great to have an excuse to have the full army out again!
