Except for the fact that all of the miniatures are designed, manufactured and distributed from Nottingham of course.
Not true. The "design work" is done in the UK but the plastic miniatures are actually made in China.

Skarsnik is right ... they are all made here. They have a factory. Lots of plastic moulding machines, a big crane system to lug moulds about and everything.Fimm McCool":1lcbp547 said:Skarsnik & Old Lead":1lcbp547 said:Fimm McCool":1lcbp547 said:mbh":1lcbp547 said:What used to be a good ol' British home-grown business is now a mass-produced-in-China monstrosity

Whilst contemporary GW business practices isn't strictly off-topic here. I don't see it as all that relevant to Oldhammer, and there are plenty of forums out there for rumour and speculation on such things. Of course there is no real harm in such discussion here either, so long as it doesn't swamp the forum, but I reserve the right to post photos of ladies with goats in such threads.
BTW I very much enjoyed reading James reminisces about newsagents - we actually have one around the corner which is still of the variety he describes. They have a fridge entirely full of out of date Tizer.
Zhu Bajie":22ywc6qr said:OK. Please explain why an unsubstantiated rumour on GW ceasing to publish a game has any relevance to Oldhammer... because personally I can't see it has any relevance at all whatsoever. The game stopped being published in 1990 as far as I'm concerned
While I'm not a certified quadruped-ologist, your 1st & 3rd pictures appear to be members of the antelope or gazelle family. As those animals are far more dangerous when confronted on foot & not domesticated, I'd say your true intentions are far more insidious.Zhu Bajie":2ckgbsr2 said:My gods, there were smilies and ladies with goats...

Haha. Do you have any evidence for this? Because I can guarantee you it isn't true.
Oh, and "I heard it on a forum once" doesn't count as evidence
