Thoughts guys? Critics , comments...
Personally as always I've tried to "fix" something that I feel a bit wierd on those very old models , but keeping the old look to it , so not many big changes , even the pose is not so different from the original because I guess you owners of the original may want to deploy them together while looking not so different.

At the moment the head is saying "dolphin" more than "shark" to me, and therefore less aggressive? Overall needs to be a bit more aggressive. But that's a minor niggle - I'm loving it!

He is really great so far. Here are my thoughts :

- I'm not an owner of the original so I can't tell but the head seems to look a bit more like a dolphin on this one (maybe a tad too much) but once againI don't know the original well.

- Would it be possible to have multiple heads with some like a salmon, some like murenas (the boss)

- Do you intend to give a breather with a water tank in the back? (that would be nice...).

- What kind/style of weapons are you planning on?

- One thing is the scale, I can't really see how big he is (though it wouldn't really matter since I'll never field him with an original)

It's a pretty distinctive look and I think a shark or dolphin head makes it look cartoony. At the moment the dolphin-esque head and webbed feet gives him an unfortunate duck look

That said, I LOVE the pose and the detailing so far...apart from the head

With Axiom's close up, I agree with what he says, though the palm feet with boots are good to me.

I like the feet - don't change them. It's just the combination with the head

Ok ...you dont like ducks...they're cute they dont??
He he , I agree , its more dolphin than Eel , so I'll change it , no problem , it was just sketched over.
The gun will be the same old bolter, anyway it will be very easy to remove and swap any weapon you want in place.

I think the scale is fine , its taller than an actual 2014 marine , but still look "human size" and perfect on a 25mm base.
Will take comparison shots later.

And there will be respirator and tubes and cables and everything of course!

This is great! I agree on the comments on the head though, but everything is deffinately going in the right direction.

And having a budget for your upcoming miniatures really sounds like the way to go at the moment! WOW

When you said you had a biology PHD, you probably meant someone else's...

Anyway we all agree the fish on Jon's picture is th eone we like : vicious, sick & dangerous.

I actually meant it yet another way : IIRC , those fish eat dead things and have a horrible oral hygiene which makes their mouth full of germs and dangerous microbs making their bite highly dangerous and toxic (like Komodo's dragons). But crazy-sick was not far and I just learnt excellent-sick (cheers Steve).
