Pike?

Anyone know how well these scale with Oldhammer citadel?

I am guessing a bit on the small side?
Yeah, these are going to be 'true 25mm' sculpts, so close to preslotta Citadel size. Basically tiny compared to anything GW from the late 80s onwards.

I have a few of these so I just got up to take some quick photos for comparison. I'm a little biased because I've always believed scale to be more of a suggestion rather than a law, but I think they fit just fine. The marauder figures and for example 4th ed. Perry Empire sculpts will definitely dwarf them a bit, but I think they fit in pretty well with C46 men at arms and pre-slotta figures, though in all cases the Ral Partha sculpts have more realistic proportions. Some of the figures are skinnier than others - that crossbowman is pretty titchy.

Left to right: Citadel pre-slotta wizard, Ral Partha Pikeman, Citadel C26 Halberdier, Ral Partha Handgunner, Marauder Flegler, Ral Partha Crossbowman, Citadel F4 Mercenary.

Wouldn't put it past the Empire to enlist younger soldiers, that's how I'd head cannon scale differences. That and they have younguns in mordheim warbands.

Unless the mini has facial hair, but he could just be a short chap, I'm only 5 ft 8 but Im a (better looking) doppelganger of Kerry King from slayer. I wouldn't let a lil height difference put you off painting up some amazing minis unless you really feel like using pure GW sculpts.

That is brilliant, thank you very much!!

I was gonna say no but I just checked Ravening Hordes p53

The ravening hordes list looks remarkably like the Perry wars of the roses (men at arms range) check out the guys with 2 handed hammers, they were clearly looking at these.

The first Empire Crossbowmen released were from this range

Also the first real mention of "imperial" troops came from this range.

They are all still available from foundry and there are plenty of Pikemen in this range.

Bit of a ramble, but this is something I have been looking at for years, so when I see an opportunity to pipe up I'm not going to miss it.

Actually don't worry. I will convert old citadel spears and so on into pike.
I distinctly remember some WD aticle showing the Perry twins at work; one of them was turning plastic empire soldiers into pikemen by just sticking brass rods through their weapon arms. I wouldn't bother with any spears either, just a dab of gs on the end of a brass rod, job's a gud 'un.
