Pike?

I'm not sure when they stopped selling them, but Citadel sold Ral Partha's Renaissance range under licence in the early 80s and that included some that got used in 1st/2nd ed armies, but technically they were obviously historics.

Well, the pike wasn't invented until the later middle ages, so if they're Normans they'd definitely have spears!

I think technically a spear becomes a pike when it's too long to be used one-handed, usually over about 10 feet or so. Edmund is holding it with one hand so it's a spear.

^_^ Reminds me I got 2 Pikes to paint up.. One is a bank clerk in LDV gear, one is in homeguard outfit.. ^_^;

AHH finally, a Warhammer forum with historical smart dudes. Most people I know can't tell the difference between a crossbow and a spoon. Now I just need to find someone knowledgeable on The Barons War, especially what went on in Norfolk.

Anyone know how well these scale with Oldhammer citadel?

I am guessing a bit on the small side?

Actually don't worry. I will convert old citadel spears and so on into pike.
Don't know what I was thinking using non citadel sculpts... ;)

Ooh! Some fine Tom Meier sculpts there! Shame at 25mm scale, but sure would look ok with earlier Citadel minis?
