I love the blue you've used for the faces on those death skulls but, call me a staid old traditionalist, I think they'd look more intimidating with arms

Anyway there's so much wonderful stuff here that I'm slightly embarrassed to say I only managed to paint 5 so-so orcs in a month, and I thought I was flying! And whilst I can't compete with some of the wonderful paint jobs and conversions knocking around, when it come to washed out, unfocused photography I feel I'll give any of you a run for your money. So:

5 severed hand orcs, I tried to replicated the over the top NMM effect in the Gary chalk artwork, with mixed results. Not that you can really tell from the photo.

I plan to extend Dwarfember all the way into Decembeard in order to get some Squats on the table given my Orctober fail i think I'll need all the time i can muster

Progress report- I'm two buggies, three bikes and a few sprues short of the whole set, but not bad going I don't think. Latest updates here and on the blog:

Bases not finished. The Gretchin will be finished by this evening but bad light means I have to photograph them now to be able to post within the allotted month! The Goff Rokkers won't be done today, I love them too much to rush them through!

Anyway, I didn't manage to paint nearly as many Orks as I wanted, but I finished 5.

I've just about managed to get 6 Marauder Goblins and 6 Orcs painted for Orctober (and for my Lost and Damned Retinue Table Challenge):





Next I'd like to have a go at making a Warband using Erny's Orc Warband generator and then eventually all these greenskins will become an Allied Contingent to accompany my Nurgle Army. More info and photos (including greenstuffed old school shields on the blog)
