If I'm struggling with two sticks, I'm not sure how well I'll do at sculpting a fetish...
That said, by even asking how to improve it shows I'm unhappy with what I've done so far and should probably start afresh. Maybe I'll give sculpting an ugly mug a try?
Really appreciate the honest feedback.

Chin up. As a rank amateur myself, I recommend raiding your bitz box (or a mate’s) for parts you can use as is or cannibalise and press moulding stuff. I try to avoid actually sculpting anything, if at all possible.

Oh, ugly fetish icons aren't hard.. you think Goblinoids are great craft men in the field of fine art? look around at old tribal stuff, maybe Mesoamerica and Peru might be a good start.. Aztecs and Mayans can have some simple things as a good base.

other then that, looks okay ^_^ the Banner pole is mostly a pole to support the banner itself so shouldn't outshine it.

I've pulled it apart and will start again. I can afford to take my time as I have several dozens of other hobs that need painting.

I've been collecting images of Mongolian Tsam masks which I was going to base the banner design on. I will use these as inspiration I think, rather than mixing my metaphors too much. But thank you.

Love the wolf riders, great job on the fur. As for the conversion I agree wire is good for binding but simple cotton can work just as well . The concept looks like a great start.

One of the first questions I ever asked on the forum was how the hell to paint fur! I've improved in one area at least. ;)

Right then. I don't think Citadel will be offering me a job anytime soon, but for a first attempt at sculpting a face I'm reasonably happy with this effort. I actually learned a few things. Primarily, that fresh green stuff will stick to absolutely anything other than the @&*^$!# cured green stuff you want it to stick to. Anyway, here it is. As always, constructive criticism always welcome.

wet fingers/sculpting tool would help with the sticking issue to other stuff to a degree ^_^

still, I see nothing greatly wrong there. I don't think Citadel do much hand sculpting these days.. mostly digital ¬_¬

Firstly great banner pole, secondly that is a truism about greenstuff so make sure to have damp hands and wet sculpting tools and it reduces the tendency for finger prints.

Thanks for all the kind comments folks. Appreciated. I've been super busy, hence not being on here for a couple of weeks and making zero progress with painting. That said, I have managed to score a load more hobs and now have all the C36 slottas and all but two of the pre-slottas. Hopefully there'll be more progress soon as I feel I'm in touching distance of a playable army.
