Thats such a great paint job - he looks alive and weatherbitten, like if he'd slept in the wind and sun and snow and rain for many many years and has only recently been roused into combat.
Thanks jprp, I like the spindly Giants of Albion and painted earlier in the thread.
Thanks also to Bluey Zarov and Caradepato.
Have been painting some scenery from Grendel Scotia, a Barbarian Warlord's Hut which comes with an additional tent that I decided should belong to a shaman and added an addled orc villager amongst the strewn potion bottles.
Continuing the Scotia Grendel theme I've also finished some Lesser Goblin Wartowers, great Kev Adams sculpts that might see some use as proxy pump wagons or chariots.
Damn those are cool, damn they still sell them. My lead (resin?) pile is not going to thank you bringing these models to my attention. The paint job is excellent. I've tried a few times to get a good scale highlight like that on a dragon I was painting a few years back, but never did manage to get anything that looked that good - any tips?
Thanks very much. Eric F regarding painting scales, I recommend plenty of layers and taking your time with a nice brush with a sharp point. Niblebitzer to give you a better idea of size the war towers are on 60x80mm bases.
Have painted another giant, this time Satyr Studio's Cloud Giant B.
And here he is next to the Tom Meier original, which is available again from Ral Partha Legacy.
Also painted an Asgard dragon and built a saddle for it. I magnetised three riders to give me some options for riders and the trio can be swapped between the dragon and the wyverns
