My Greenskins

This thread is absolutely amazing. You have done a really outstanding job -all around. We have very similar tastes -I too have an O&G army filled mostly with old citadel /marauder mini's with a heavy topping of the recent Kev Adams sculpts (Knightmare Minis - I think they are called). So, it is really nice to see other examples painted up. I love the models. I love the basing. I love the color choices. I especially love the banners & shields. Tremendous work -thanks for posting.
cheers -LOM

^What Twisted Moon said, more or less exactly. Those are some spectacular banners. (Thought I said that yesterday, but the gremlins ate it, I suppose.)

Thanks twisted moon and symphonicpoet.

I have finally finished a unit of black orcs, almost entirely Bob Olley sculpts from the Citadel Iron Claw range with some earlier figures still available from Essex Miniatures. I have used a few bigger guys that seemed appropriate so there are a few trolls, ogres and half-giants lurking in there plus a puny goblin musician.

Excellent painting and great timing. My brother just sent me my old black orc models (along with my old boar boyz) and I've been wondering about skin tones and how to approach painting them - so seeing a fully painted beautiful set is just the inspiration I needed!

Thanks Tex, EricF and Captain Brown.

I took a few units out of the cabinet and photographed them in some scenery

This whole thread is really inspiring, fantastic work and an amazing collection you've got there.

Now if I can only find the time to improve my painting style and technique...

Always a pleasure to see an update on this thread ! The black orc unit looks really good. the red and white striped mohawk looks great, as do your shields painted and banner. Great to see the group photo with the backdrop also.
