Michaels 25mm WFB Stuff...

nice work on bogel's farm.

Thank you.
It took forever and I always try to make the next build better than the previous.
I fear this is a bad idea...

Anyways..

For my 10mm games I converted a wagon driver so he holds a horn cup and this model rests upon a barrel and is always on my tabletop somewhere watching the battles:

I need a 25mm version now. Anyone have suggestions for a candidate or have something they would swap/sell?

Conquest Games plastic Norman without armour, or Victrix (more expensive but better sculpts). Wargames Atlantic Peasants have similar clothing as well. I'll have a looksie in me box o treasures and see what I have.

Looks like Slave to Darkness got you covered already but I'll still throw this suggestion out here.
If you're comfortable with converting, Perry miniatures has one kneeling little fella in this set of peasants. Perhaps with some work it could be converted to sit on a barrel.

I don't mind converting a bit, but that is possibly more work than I would want for such a piece, that and it means buying a whole pack.
Thanks though.

The Midlam one is ideal but is OOS.

Are Midlam more 25mm scale humans?

Nah, no worries. I worked on assumption how I'd go with reproducing something like this mascot of yours. :)
If you end up wanting something close to original guy but Perry one doesn't work perhaps some other manufacturer of historicals has suitable wagon rider.

I am working on some WFB stuff honest.
I got distracted by having 2 games in the last 2 weeks??!!
IKR!!
Great stuff.

BUT my wife is bringing home a lot less than she was this time last year and I can't work as I am a carer for her disabled mother in law and our disabled daughter, so I just can't find a job that lets me work around being here for them both, which can be often and at any random time.

Sooooo I have put some bases and movement trays back on my site:

If you find yourself needing some bases/trays or indeed any MDF shapes and or random sizes and you are in the UK (General Product Safety Regulation prevents me selling to the EU) please do feel to spend your crowns with me, it would be massively appreciated.

When I ain't so skint I'll order some, ATM I'm facing a custodial sentence for non payment of council tax lol. Once I get that sorted I'll be needing a load, my stuffs on ripped up cereal boxes and I'm too lazy to make better ones.

Crikey a stretch in gaol eh..

:|

I mean don't put some MDF stuff over your freedom!!!, but that would be great.
Let me know closer to the time if there is anything you need that is not on the site.

Much love.

I used to play WFB 3rd edition with 10mm for a good few years and with it being so affordable and quick to paint it was easy to have lots of extra little details and bits of set dressing.

One such thing was Stefan.
He was a wagon rider I converted to be holding a horn drinking cup and sat on a barrel.

Stefan could be found on my wargames tables having a beer and watching the carnage unfold.

Here are a few shots from various games of him watching the proceedings unfold.

Now that my wife and I are mostly playing 25mm WFB she wanted to know where Stefan was.

Ampersand Andy over on The Wargames Website very generously sent me an old Citadel villager who is in a sitting position and holding a bottle of booze.

So here he is, primed and ready to go.

Whilst an identical but bigger version of the 10mm Stefan would be amazing, who am I to turn away a free model!!

I will post when he is all done.
