It's more that they need to flex. The lights are on the door, not on the undersides of the shelves, so the wires need to stretch as the door opens and fold as it closes. I designed it for a slimmer cable than it ended up getting which is a bit annoying.you could use just black card or something on the edges to hide the wires if you don't want to run them round the edges, or some 'sky' same as the backing.
Ah. Should have asked and I would see about a link up (basically when the door shuts, the circuit clips together. Can be done a few ways to allow you but no problem. also, if it's on a hinge, should have got the wires going on the hinge side ^_^It's more that they need to flex. I guess that's how I feel about miniatures too. If something is a bit 'wonky' or 'organic' and you can see the odd fingerprint it reads as the work of someone's hands. A smooth, pristine, symmetrical model has more of an artificial feel.
