Don Hans Chaos Army Gallery

Okelidokely - Finished another Citadel C38 beastman that been standing half painted on my desk for a while. The first one with a shield actually.

There is a quite crude relief on the shied that made it difficult to do a freehand job on it. So settled with a quite simple frame instead. Think it worked out pretty well.

Gorgeous gobbos Don! I look forward to seeing more of the little buggers.
I noticed the gobs have green bases versus your traditional ivory; are they getting their own little army? :)

Excellent work on the camel-man. Did you add the bones to the shield or is that original detail?

Thanks Naagruz! They might form a seperate warband or I'll use them in the army. Not sure yet. What I do know is that I will paint a few more of them!
The bones on the shield was actually an orignal detail in the sculpt.

Thx/Hans

This is just fantastic !!!! I'm a big fan of your unique style, you give a really strange feeling with your miniatures i love it !!! Your colors are good with each others and i have the impression to travel in a strange world, this fit completly with Realm of Chaos and make me think of the fantasy from the 70's.

Thanks :) !

P.S: please excuse me if i made mistake my english is not perfect.

This thread is becoming an impressive work of art!
You always come up with original miniatures and somehow manage to blend them into the atmosphere you created.
Go on, the crowd is groing and asking for more!

Thank you very much!!!

Next up is my favorite beastman in the Citadel C38 range. The Mantis Man. A cool dude in a cape with no weapons or equipment of any sorts expect his charm and hypnotic eyes. A pimp of chaos.

Hey Don, what's under the robe?!

You did a great job of taking a mini, that is pretty short on details, & making it stand out spectacularly. Lovely colors!
He totally needs his own, sinister, bug minions.

Hehehe... a chaos flasher ;)

Thanks! This is really the kind of mini I like to paint. I.e. don't have a lot of details but big uninterrupted surfaces to play with. I loathe painting pouches, belt, bags and other stuff.

I was thinking of adding a beetles from the creepy crawlies ranges to the base...Might do that right now

Thx/Hans

Painted this a few weeks ago. Not the best sculpt ever - actually quite ugly. But I can't help myself loving this old sculpts.

Could easily be used as a Plague Bearer as well....might come in handy.

Very interesting and bold use of colours - I like it!

The sculpt is a bit... but you've made it look good. I guess if one was looking for state of the art sculpting, one would not be oldhammering.

Amazing as always Hans, I'm envious that you have the C38 Mantis Man, he is one of last remaining models I need to complete the C38 collection, great to see him(it?!!) painted so wonderfully ;)

Keep inspiring us Sir!
