...I love the Unicorn Broo, I have an obsession with Broo and have set out to collect the whole set...... let's see how long that takes! I have the Unicorn though  ...
I agree, the Runequest Broo's are really great - I have a few of them not far from all. Seems we'll be battle each other on ebay then ...

...So you base coat white and then apply a multitude of thinned paint over the entire mini? Or on selected areas? Could I bug you for a little tutorial?...
Almost - maybe not a tutorial but here's the basics of how I paint.:
- I prime with a light color (white or bone)
- I do a solid layer - for armor usually a mix of bronze, black and green (or red)
- Then the layering starts with thinned out numerous layers building up the tones and blending into the surrounding areas.
- A key tool here is a seriously good brush. I use a Winsor & Newton series 7 size 3 alot. I has a big body and a very fine point and perfect for blending very diluted colors (I guess due to it's designed for water colors)

An example for the armor on the Master of Madess:
1) First a solid layer was a mix of bronze, red and black
2) Multiple very thin layers of mixes of bronze/red/black adding more red to each layer. I might have used orange in the end as well (not sure)
3) Then went to pure greens and painted in and around the recesses making the tone lighter each time. (very thin coats
4) Did some edge highlight with pure gold.

Wow nice lovely addition, I've been going through the entire thread and your blog, and it's all great stuff very inspirational, love the way you do all the patterns, and love the pallet you use, really gives it a unique look

Alright! Just finished two more Chaos Dwarfs.

Khazek Doomlord - from the Chaos Dwarf Renegades box. Was considering painting him in his classic green with yellow chaos star. Decided though on a different approach with a patterned cloak.

...and Grimdur Gutwrencher. Continues on my mix of metal and normal color approach. His helmet has a skull resemblance so decided on blending the armor up to a very pale/bone color on especially the face.

Holy crap! Khazek Doomlord is a bit special, isn't he, bloody amazing! the other chaps are nothing to sneeze about either but that pattern just works so damn well

Yes yes yes yes yes yeeeeeees!

I finally finished a unit for my Chaos Army.

So here they are the: The Master of Madness Motley Rotters (or in Swedish: Den Galna Befälhavarens Brokiga Fähundar)

One question , do you cut the base tab off ?

Thanks Porkaborg!

No - I keep them on. Build the base around the tab

Hi!

Was getting quite serious with the finishing of the Chaos Dwarf unit so felt like doing something a bit quicker. Turned my attention to my beloved C27 Mutant/Chaos Goblins. Very simple and great minis.

Got temporary fed up with my bases (after painting the movement tray for the Dwarf) so went to green. Might do these is the old style and let them into the army - we'll see.

Those goblins are adorable. I can't believe that I haven't seen those sculpts before!

Stunning work on them.

All amazing work here, Hans. Beautiful armour techniques, wonderfully original shields and such innovative bases - very Chaos Wastes! Look forward to seeing more.

Amazing PJ's, as usual (well, a little more because they're greenskins ;) )
You really are a gifted artist 8-)

Thanks!!!

They are a bit tricky to get hold of for sure. I have all of them (hihihi) except Plague (or I might have him as well in one of my many stripping jars).
