CVB's Heroquest/Dungeon Crawl

Lovely Barbarian! You really have thing with skintone you know? I find they have just the right tone and richness.
How many barabrians do you have now btw?

Nice one Bruno, it's a great sculpt and you've done it justice!

I think you should do a bright colour on the skulls of the necromancer, btw. To get some proper contrast in there. I did mine yellow... or bone:

Phreedh: while I remember seeing your HQ/dungeon crawling stuff tipped me over the edge and made me start a project I did not remember your take on the Necromancer, and you painted that crescent thingy yellow too
I was going to say "don't sue me for painting that bit yellow too" but then realised that I could countersue you for "making" me go on this hero crusade thing...then I remembered that This Is Not America
Thanks for that, I just gave the skull/wand my usual treatment but I'll at least experiment with a brighter colour as you suggested.

Asslessman: cheers mate, anything I do is incredibly basic- it's all in the application of a little bit of water and a 50/50 mix here and there.
I absolutely DREAD painting human or human esque flesh but as I'm sure you will sympathise if you care about a mini it brings out your best.
I have six male barbarians and even more females, in my defence some of them are not "sexy" mostly Citadel but I recommend the Foundry females in particular

Actually, I didn't mean the wand or large skull. I was thinking of the ornaments on his hood. They are little tiny skulls. =)

Hm... maybe I should do a digest post on the forums collecting the pics of painted lead I've got scattered on my blog.

Painting those little gems on that Necromancer's hood: 15 cents worth of paint and washes
Realising those little gems on that Necromancer's hood are tiny skulls due to a post on an internet forum: priceless

There's a definite Raquel Welch / 1000,000 Years B.C. thing going on there, I had to do it ;)
She was a pain to get done though, just like the other BIG MOMA "WONGER" that I did a while back greenstuff was needed for big ravines on the insides of the legs, and blacklining between the spear shaft and her leg.

That all sounds a bit dirty really

I'm reading this on the train, getting all hot and bothered. I think the man next to me is going to move soon.

She is ... impressive. I really like the look on her face, you can clearly imagine the toughest warriors in fornt of them going : "please Honey, it's not what it looks like! I'm really sorry, I'm going to slaughter another village just for you but please don't hit me again...)

Here's a plastic Light Wizard (or 3rd edition Talisman "High Priest") that I got from Asslessman, and if I remember correctly was responsible for him visiting the hospital :!:

Obviously I didn't go for the white robes as dictated by the "fluff", mainly because I don't have the guts to paint so much white.
