Big Twin Mustang pleases me immensely. I feel like a proud Father, although admittedly one that had very little to do with it. Kind of like an absent Father that wasn't really around very much when it was growing up.

So, just to be clear, to make the car rules we

1. Do the armour
2. Pick a driver and co-pilot
3. Pick 3 upgrades.

The end, right?

The armour part may need reviewing but the rest is pretty solid. If you have any ideas for additional vehicle upgrades be sure to put them forward. I'm overdue for my rules revision due to a busy few weeks but the upgrades 'should' remain valid, as the ones that may be changing don't necessarily have to be modelled on (the weapon rules will have tweaks too but the archetypal nature of guns mean whatever you model, we can find an effect to suit ;) ).

James, Bluey, Assless Nibbli .... just the most fantastic work.
Great inspiration .... Must get and have a look at mine.

I'm in on this too, now I can make BOYL. I've started work on a representation of the cover art of Fighting Fantasy: Freeway Fighter, you can see the beginnings of it on my blog. I'll post some WIP pictures here when the structure is done....

I've been very much inspired by the wonderful creations posted on here, great stuff.

OK Just built my Ork Driver looking for a suitable Grot to be co-driver and then going to set about Orking up my ride.

Started putting my squat racer together. Sprayed all the camo on this afternoon. I want to put some racing stripes on as well and possibly a ram at a later date.

Thanks for the compliments everyone.

Can't wait to see what you are driving in, Harry.
I think I showed the King Buggy model I had picked up for this back on page 3? (Or somewhere early on).
But I now have a second vehicle in the works too.

Re: [BOYL15 GAME] DEATHRACE 40,000

I haven't really been paying much attention to this thread (mostly because I can't attend BOYL), but I had a look through it the other day & damn there are a lot of really cool vehicles being made!!!

I missed Blueys' beast & Harrys' King Buggy project to name a couple. It got me motivated to build something too, albeit for a battle on other side of the globe, but still in the same vein.

So I thought I'd show my Speeder.......just coz

This "will" be completed by the end of the month, nothing like a deadline to motivate me ;)

Wish I could be there, but this is as close as I think I'll ever get to joining in the fun with you guys there at BOYL.

All the best

Good jobs all around. Very motivating.
(Optimus, intresting assortment of bits and bobs you glued to your speeder-even a lucky card!)
Time to put some paint on mine as well.
The revolver-lance still needs some sculpting on the flags and probably some rivets and cables.

Damn, the engineer in me keeps thinking the girders are oversized for the load they have to bear but the modellist in me slaps him behind the head and thinks this is excellent and that your attention to details pays here. really great ride !

What technique did you use to get that rust effect on the body of the car? Looks great so far.

I could, but considering where I am don't think it would arrive in one piece ;)

@ Niibl, thanks. There's nothing "wrong" you can use when kitbashing

As a side note, I thought I'd try and Google BOYL 2015, but the first few pages were flooded with Susan Boyle ahhhh!!!

You brits have got a lot to answer for

Welcome to the imperial guard!
Rough designs for rough riders-created to survive where the (expendable) crew does not.

@Bane
I just put some blobs of red, orange and some browns on a palette and used a ball of moist tissue paper to dab it onto this mixture. I removed excess paint by dabbing on clean areas the palette first and then started on the model.

Mine is ready. No turret rules though? If anyone wants any ramshackle bits please let me know!

The turret rules are for secondary weapons, and are basically 'they fire 180° in one nominated arc', so you can choose to have one shooting 180° forward, or backward, or left, or right. Main weapons fire straight forward from the front of the vehicle in a corridor of about 2 inches, a bit like fixed weapons on bikes in Gorkamorka.
