Hey, if the sculptor took the time to sculpt it, it would be rude not to paint it.

Exactamundo. (At least the cat doesn't have clinkers/dags to colour in). Also, I bet she calls the count 'poppet' out of earshot (which is also another name for a Voodoo doll)

That's disturbing. My wife and I call our daughter poppet.
Though we also call her Stink, so maybe it's no biggy.
