August Leaders

Started getting some colour on these models (downstairs in the cooler lower ground floor…).

The commissar is amusingly soft in detail and the old Heroquest dwarf has hallmarks of early plastic injection molding, so will be interesting how will progress with them.

I have to say it is a really nice sculpt, very tidy with just the right amount of detail to make sense and be enjoyable to paint.
Though it has taken me 2 weeks to decide on the colour scheme, I am still undecided on the cat...

The Count may take umbrage to that accusation around his lovely wife.

I do feel a bit cheaty about painting this is a leader figure, I mean she is the ruling nobility in terms of my setting, but the model is not qute what I had in mind when I suggested leaders for August...
 
The phone image is way over saturated, I often wonder if what I am looking at online is anywhere near what the actual thing looks like.

Even the same image looks very different on my phone screen compared to my laptop screen.
 
Colour balance and depth ^_^ it's like people who use pretty much any 'streaming' video service and expect hi quality audio (more so if they use a bluetooth speaker.. which has terrible bandwidth for audio). not saying you can't listen like that, just you won't get 'fantastic' results.. ^_^ same with alot of things in life.

It may look that way, but with The Countess, like her husband The Count, being worshippers of The Mother and The Father, it is an offering to be placed in one of the Shrines. It is a cloth dolly filled with seeds, herbs, and other such offerings to help with a bountiful harvest.

Hey, if the sculptor took the time to sculpt it, it would be rude not to paint it.
