OK, here's the first part of the write-up (the easy bit I can remember) for our first gathering with a few more pictures
Paul / Golgfag1
The terrain was open rolling hills with lots of dips and hollows to hide-in and the occasional tree (much was made by those present that nothing could be hidden in such open terrain, how wrong those words were to prove!); the first forces to enter the table were Chaos (Grumdril/Paul), Goblins (Weasil/Gaj) & undead (Harry), all three made double moves and weren’t immediately noticed by any marauding greenskins. with their cavalry and large creatures rushing ahead of their main forces. On the second all three marched forward again, however, this time Gaj’s Trolls crossed paths with a pair of Night Goblins escorting one of their more irrational brethren back to the horde See previous photos) - their charge broke away and crashed through the trolls inflicting a couple of wounds on the brutes, but both were regenerated, following in the wake of their chargers example – the two unlucky warders also charged into the trolls - only to be squashed under a huge club, first blood to the players, but, where was that whirling fanatic heading!
The third turn again saw the players rushing forward again, but by this time joined by more urn-est while allies in the form of Skaven (Jimbobodoll / James) & Brettonians (DrJones / Alex) bringing up the rear. At this Gaj’s goblins Turned round (if, any one was going to hang around at the rear - it was going to be Gaj’s goblins - where else, would you expect any self respecting goblin – but bringing up the rear?) The Skavens eyed the goblins, the goblins eyed the Brettonians and they - just lowered their lances (em, might be a bit of a problem here!) and then the Green skins turned up - On the flank of the Skaven (23 Orcs) and three chariots moved over the crest of a hill, in front of Harry’s undead cavalry! The orcs charged – Harry’s skeletons, in the rear! (It was the dice roll honest, Harry); the Brettonians charged Gaj’s Goblins – who broken towards the Whirling ball of death and the Skaven charged the remaining goblins! The fanatic crashed into Gaj’s Goblins and thus into the Brettonians – removing 5 Goblins & 4 knights; the Skavens drove the goblins back and the fight between the orcs and skeletons became a slogging match with the appearance of a couple of un-dead heroes!
The players moved their remaining troops and rolled their dice to see if they’d been spotted, they had - Harry’s cavalry suddenly found them selves confronts by three chariots and Gramdils chaos band attracted a few goblins in front of their minatours (All of which, just stood there - watching)! Gaj’s trolls became interested with some apples in one of the trees.
The following turn saw the players make some interesting moves – Harry’s cavalry moved around the chariots (On the basis of - their not bothering me, so I won’t bother them) only to meet a unit of twenty plus Orc archers! Gaj’s trolls were still too interested in apples to move; whilst Harry’s Skeletons broke away from the orcs, who held their ground. Alex’s Retainers moved forward only to find the chariots in their path and we saw more goblins appear in front of Gaj’s routing Goblins, who charged, sandwiching Gaj’s troops against the lone Bretonian knight -Much slaughter - ensued.
I'll post the next episode over the weekend

Thanks for the fantastic night of dice-rolling and model-shuffling last Friday. Much envious/curious looks from the historical wargamers around us.
It was a great scenario for a first (proper) meet for a new group of wargamers, so thanks for Paul for organising it and putting it on!
