It would appear to be. It came off pretty easy. Some bits of base still attached to the feet. I can see "Marauder" under one of the feer.
I have a choice to make now - Dettol or acetone. I might try Dettol as I can get it quicker, and I'm hoping it'll be gentler on the adhesive

Dettol should be easier to cover him in! Have you got a big enough jar?

I hope so. At least with Dettol I've got a plastic bucket I could use if needed.

My wife is very tolerant of me and my 'smells', diesel, carb cleaner, aniseed balls etc, but even she draws the line at Dettol, tbf it does bloody stink.

I wouldn't bet on that.
Considered using a brush-on stripper rather than immersion? Biostrip, for instance.

I love the smell of Dettol, but I know not many agree.
He fits in one orientation, have to be very precise putting him in.
And he's now the most sterile giant this side of the World's Edge Mountains!

Supermarket knock off. Think I picked it up for £2.50, so I'm not overly worried. It would also explain why I can smell Dettol really strongly even though it's sealed 🤣

Ah yes, blu-tack + superglue aka poor man's green stuff! Now that brings back memories of my earlier hobbying days.

I do mine in a fake kilner too. One that used to have a candle in I think. The rubber seal degraded after a couple of months' exposure to dettol.

Yeah, the plastic around the jam jars lids I use has degraded over time too!!

I switched to fake Tupperware years ago and reserve my Kilner jars for pickling & steeping.

Well, he's certainly starting to pickle! This jar doesn't have a good seal, so I'm not worried about sacrificing this jar. I got what I paid for.
To the Dettol users - does he look pickled enough? I know not to get water in there, but at some point I'll need to rinse it. After he's scrubbed is it best to use diluted Dettol for a first rinse then lots of water once there's no paint left?
