GG 2026 A Giant Task

Well, he's certainly starting to pickle! This jar doesn't have a good seal, so I'm not worried about sacrificing this jar. I got what I paid for.

To the Dettol users - does he look pickled enough? I know not to get water in there, but at some point I'll need to rinse it. After he's scrubbed is it best to use diluted Dettol for a first rinse then lots of water once there's no paint left?

I haven't stripped much. @SnufflePox describes his Dettol process in detail in the paint stripping thread. I haven't tried the washing up liquid part but might give it a go as I have encountered some of the issues he's described. I use an old washing up bowl (washtub) during the scrubbing stage because flecks of paint can get everywhere.
