^I expect it'd work fine. The Black Seal seem to be a pretty colorful and mismatched lot, so I'd think the more diverse the merrier.

Well I'm half way though painting my fella now. Just in time ro remember the spot colours... whoops. Well I expect I can put a smidge of them in somewhere. I mean there is a bit of purple on the trout... and I can add a bit of yellow I think. Still ahead of schedule for me, which is good. I shall now of course rest on my laurels until the deadline looms and I can finish in a panic... !

The poem set the right mood and I've finished up Friar Bellows, our favourite naughty frog of the cloth (or trout in this case)
He's only lightly pinned to his base so easy enough to remove if the winner decides to. Quite a fun model (Beldolor Studios) to paint. He's 3D printed resin and I've been wanting to print and paint him for a while, so this seemed a good excuse. The other contender for the role would of course have been the Friar Tuck the Toad model from Dark Sword, which I do love, but no one seemed to have him in stock (in UK) when I looked a couple of weeks back. I'm still wondering if I'll leave the frog's eyes plain gloss black or if I'll do some detail on them ... depends how time pans out before he starts his swim across the Atlantic pond. There is some purple on the trout cloak and his top is kinda purply grey. I'm claiming the golds as yellows spot colour wise!

Oh, fantastic! There's an old adage about dead fish and house guests going off after a similar period of time. In this case he could be both! (And probably well and truly off before he ever even arrives.) Well done!
